This hotel is excellent value for money and since it is slightly out of the city centre, you are staying in a quiet residential area which is peaceful and relaxing. It's fairly easy to get there (take the 'Linea H - Via Dei Capasso' bus from the terminus next to the train station and its about 20 minutes journey). Once... more

I was reading the reviews, and failed to see dates, but I just came back from my trip to Rome. It may all depend what you're looking for. As many things, price gives you an idea of what you'll get. It was my first time in Italy, first time in Europe for that matter. I went there alone, to get... more

I stayed in Il Castelletto during Easter (photo 2), It was rainy,(photo 3) but that went for all the hotels in Rome in that period. The hotel is in Bravetta, but once I knew how simple it was to reach Trastevere and the centre of Rome with public transport, I was happy with this choice. The rooms are cleaned daily,... more

We were in this hotel in February 2007. Ok, just a few points about the hotel: 1) Location: the website stated that it is located close to the city centre and Vatican. Well, if you call a 45 minute trip by bus (because this is how long it takes to get to any attractions) a short distance, than they are... more

The grand disappointment about this hotel is the information provided in their site: It gives you a fake impression that the hotel is near to the city, and easy to find. In fact, the hotel is far away from city centre (40 min, metro+bus) and difficult to find. If you want to find the hotel, use the information provided in... more

The opening lines of "do yourself a favour and drive past the Hotel Il Castelletto" should give you some idea of my thoughts on the place. The hotel looks very little like those photos shown on most websites, the rooms are way way overpriced for what is offered to guests, our room generally unclean, bedsheet like material used for so... more

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful time in Paris and Rome. Of the two, Rome was the best. We encountered only friendly, helpful people everywhere. As we tried to speak their language they smiled and were only to happy to assist us in whatever we needed. Hotel Il Castelletto As I was reading about this place... more
