This small inn located in the area between Trestavere and the Vatican City is ideally located away from the crowds. The helpful and friendly staff contribute to the comfort level that comes with a quiet stay in a quaint hotel. The price-value was great (by Rome standards) and the room was very clean and comfortable although not luxurious. There are... More

I liked this hotel. I was a solo traveler in Rome for one week on a very tight budget. For 40 Euro a night I got a cute little room with a cute little ensuite private bathroom (see my pics). I was in Room 107. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It felt more like staying with family in... More

Whilst the room was 75 euro per night, found the small room to have sheets of paint peeling off the wall in bedroom and bathroom, no soap holder in shower, samllest shower in 4 weeks of stay in France and Italy, bath towel was the size of a footmat, no bag stand, one bedside light not working, bedframe not attached... This hotel is excellent value for money and since it is slightly out of the city centre, you are staying in a quiet residential area which is peaceful and relaxing. It's fairly easy to get there (take the 'Linea H - Via Dei Capasso' bus from the terminus next to the train station and its about 20 minutes journey). Once... More

I was reading the reviews, and failed to see dates, but I just came back from my trip to Rome. It may all depend what you're looking for. As many things, price gives you an idea of what you'll get. It was my first time in Italy, first time in Europe for that matter. I went there alone, to get... More

I stayed in Il Castelletto during Easter (photo 2), It was rainy,(photo 3) but that went for all the hotels in Rome in that period. The hotel is in Bravetta, but once I knew how simple it was to reach Trastevere and the centre of Rome with public transport, I was happy with this choice. The rooms are cleaned daily,... More

We were in this hotel in February 2007. Ok, just a few points about the hotel: 1) Location: the website stated that it is located close to the city centre and Vatican. Well, if you call a 45 minute trip by bus (because this is how long it takes to get to any attractions) a short distance, than they are... More

The grand disappointment about this hotel is the information provided in their site: It gives you a fake impression that the hotel is near to the city, and easy to find. In fact, the hotel is far away from city centre (40 min, metro+bus) and difficult to find. If you want to find the hotel, use the information provided in... More
