we had an executive room which included airport pick up and drop off making the whole arrival process very easy. That is important after an over night flight. The entire staff was very helpful and pleasant. We ate twice in the Circus Roof Top restaurant with a view of Roman temples and the Tiber. Excellent Negronis and nice house wine.... More

Spent six nights here last week. The hotel is well situated, near Plaza Venezzia and close the Forum and Coliseum. A very good location for walking to all the major attractions in the city and the bars and restaurants across the river in Trasavere. It is on a busy road and this can mean it is a little noisy, but... More

It's perfectly situated between the major sites to the east and great restaurants to the west in Trastervere. We had dinner and drinks at the rooftop bar, which was enclosed because of the rainy and somewhat cold weather but still great and certainly would be better in a warm summer evening. The food and service were very good. Excellent breakfast... More

Lovely boutique hotel close to major attractions. Stayed for 4 nights in March 2015, and ate dinner in the Circus restaurant every night. The food was delicious and service were amazing! Florina was especially helpful and remembered my preferences every evening. The ladies at reception was also very friendly and helpful in arranging cars or other services. Highly recommend!

This is the second time we have visited this hotel. We love the position -it is slightly away from the constant activity of central Rome, but only a short walk to all the fabulous sights. It is also a short walk across to Ancient Rome,so for us,is perfectly positioned. It is barely a minute's walk to the beautiful 2000 year old bridge across... My wife and I visited Rome for the first time. At the end we got to the conclusion that we picked the right hotel. 47 made our stay much more pleasant, the staff was very attending and always there to help you. The central location is a plus if you don't know your way around Rome. If we visit Rome... More

Fortyseven's location along the Tiber is the perfect central point for exploring central, ancient Rome on foot. The must-see major major attractions (my partial list: Forum, Capitoline Hill, Palatine Hill, Colisseum, Baths of Caracalla, , Circus Maximus,Trastevere neighborhood...) are within easy walking distance. Across and down the street a block from the hotel are a newly-restored Temple of Portunus, the... More

This is reasonable central and staff were very professional and went out of there way to support my stay. Pity bar was shut most evenings as it would have been nice to relax and unwind in the late evening. Walking distance to main sightseeing areas.

Stayed at the Fortyseven Hotel for 3 nights at the end of February. A very solid hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Staff was accommodating with my questions with regards to transfer from the train stations and to the airport. The room is of generous size for a European hotel, which is clean and well equipped with amenities and supplies.... More

Dear guest, Thank you for your kind review. It does surprise me, though, to read that you think we don’t rank high in the “walkability rank” since our location is praised and one of our strongest selling points. All monuments and touristic attractions are within walking distance and we are located in the heart of the archaeological sites of Rome...however,... More

Just back from a 4 full day full on trip to Rome, fabulous city with more attractions and history than anywhere else we have visited. Was informed of this hotel by an ex colleague who said it was an ideal location for sightseeing, he wasn't wrong, exactly the right location, the only thing he didn't mention was how good the... Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
