Though 47 does not seem to be very familiar to Japanese --- it rarely appears on travel guides or group tour brochures in Japan --- I booked this hotel because it had so many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. As many reviewers said, the room was clean, modern, and spacious; the staff was friendly, attentive and professional. What is more, there... More

The hotel's staff are so friendly, educated, and helpful. Rooms are so spacious, and the hotel is like a 5 stars hotel. It is close to major sites, and all can be done by walking. However, if needed, a bus stattion is located 20 meters away, and is hub for major stations. I recommend this hotel, and will use it... More

I was impressed on how well located this hotel is! Walking distance from all Rome's best attractions. Great breakfast and really clean rooms. It was a very pleasant stay and staff was very patient and friendly with us with best tips of restaurants!

The hotel was very welcoming the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful at all times, nothing was too much trouble even at 2 o'clock in the morning when we asked for an adaptor which was sorted out asap. The room was more than adequate for 2 of us. It was roomy had a fantastic aspect. We felt at home there.... More

We spent eight nights at 47 over the New Year & enjoyed everything about our stay. Our room was ample & clean. The staff was friendly & helpful. The location was perfect, a 3 minute walk accross the bridge to Trastevere. A 5 minute walk to Piazza Venezia and the Forum, as well as Via del Corso shopping. We,re not... More

We stayed in the deluxe room as a honeymoon from January 2 to 4. The hotel prepared us a sparkling wine, which impressed us. The hotel is located right in front of a road with quite much traffics. Therefore, it is not totally a 'quiet' room, but we did not feel uncomfortable about it. The location of the hotel is... More

We visited Rome for New Year, a family of six with four older children. No we didn't get a great view, but as I had asked for rooms close to each other and we were given three next door to one another, then it wasn't a big deal. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and well decorated. The free wifi... More

From the moment we walked in, all of our needs were met in that perfectly subtle way you hope for at a hotel. Beautiful, generously sized rooms and bathrooms appointed in subtle colors and textures. Robes, slippers, great lighting (for reading in bed), soft, upscale bedding, etc. Art hanging on walls throughout. Generous and gracious breakfast buffet (with the kindest... More

FortySeven Hotel was home away from home for our family of four during our recent visit to Rome. The hotel has so much to recommend: it's in the city center in the shadow of the Emmanuel Victor monument, and within a few minutes walk to the Michelangelo steps and the Capitoline Museums, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and all the... For the price, I have not found a better overall lodging experience in Rome ever. What do you get? 1. A door person who actually runs out to your cab, welcomes you with a smile and insists on taking your bags., 2. Check-in team that includes Michela who welcomes you like a relation welcoming you home. She smiles, listens, offers... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
