We stayed here for 4 nights during our time in Rome. We found the location to be good as it was within 15 minute walk of many of the main attractions. There is not much in the immediate area but we could walk most places. The rooftop bar was fantastic and we enjoyed the pricey cocktails one night. The staff... More

waiting for a coach back to The Sheraton hotel I popped in with my wife and 11 year old son for couple of drinks as we had an hour to wait. Receptionist said that there was a basketball team in the bar and they were busy. I said we only wanted a drink and looking at the bar from outside... More

Our second stay after an 8 year pause. Hotel is still very nice but is not quite as pristine as 8 years ago. Some black mould on bathtub grout and our room had very noisy plumbing above. However this is still a great property. Staff is excellent, helpful and friendly. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Breakfast is... More

We booked a deluxe room with an extra bed in May first week for our 4 night holiday in Rome. We reached by train from Venice to Roma by evening. The hotel is amazingly located. You can walk to Colosseum, the mouth of truth, piazza venezia, trastevere, Pantheon, Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. It is a 15-20 min walk(max to... More

We stayed at Fortyseven Hotel in Rome for two nights in July. It was a nice property with clean and well designed rooms. It also had the potential for being an outstanding boutique hotel. The staff were friendly at first but did not really come off as being very sincere. We did not really find the staff very helpful or... More

We didn't realize when we picked this hotel what a perfectly central location we would enjoy! The hotel is clean and modern, with very helpful staff. Walking distance to many of the most famous sites and areas. We just enjoyed our second dinner at the Circus rooftop restaurant. Stayed in Rome for 4 days on our way to Calabria. Centrally located to walk to the Colliseum, the Forums & Trastavere for all the great restaurants. Check-in was quick & pleasant. Room was clean & standard European size.

I had the pleasure of staying at hotel fortyseven with my family for four nights in late June. Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
