I picked this hotel as it was recommended by a friend who went there on their honeymoon a few years ago. I'm so glad we stayed at the hotel, it was great. I booked transfers from the airport which I was so glad we did the trip was a smooth one and we didn't need to worry about how to... More

Great location, steps to trastavere and a nice walk to all attractions. Fabulous rooftop, great rooms, in older building but all redone. Great choice for visiting rome, very helpful staff. A little quiter than staying in heart of tourist sites, perfect.

We took ages to choose our hotel in Rome and booked then cancelled two others before settling on Hotel Forty-Seven. The main reason for booking the hotel was the location and its proximity to everything we wanted to see. It was also close to several restaurants we fancied. And the price was right. And they threw in airport transfers as... More

we stayed here for a week between xmas and new years and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The location is amazing, within walking distance of most major sites and the staff really go out of their way to help and are super friendly. The hotel itself has all the amenities one needs including very reliable wifi and a... More

I stayed here with my family for three nights on the back end of a Mediterranean cruise. We reserved two rooms and were immediately upgraded as soon as we checked in... already off to a great start! The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. This is exactly the type of place I look for in a major European city -... More

The hotel is in a great location -- one can walk to many of Rome's major historic sites easily or get to buses and other forms of transportation that can take one further afield easily. As for the hotel, it was fine. The room was nice enough as was the hotel generally. But perhaps we expected too much based on... More

This is my second time to this Hotel and the service and quality are as good as I remember. I have traveled extensively to many countries and this hotel works on all levels. My son and I were visiting Rome for the Christmas week and chose Fourtyseven Hotel Rome partially based on the trip advisor review, and mostly based on its location. I was on a business trip and this hotel is located near Trastevere. It is a town house along a very busy street. My room was towards an alley, nothing to look at but very quiet. Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
