This small B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Rome: Near to many attractions, restaurants, wine bars etc. And, the real gem is the owner/host Gioia. From the moment she greeted us upon arrival to our departure, she was friendly, gracious and a veritable font of useful information. We were provided with maps, recommendations and handy tips. The B&B... More

First, the positive aspects of this B&B: - Great location near the Colosseo and public transportation. - The property has an elevator which helps with your luggage. - The room was spacious and the bathroom was large with a separate shower. - The wifi is included in the room rate. Now, the negatives: - There aren't any staff available on-site... More

We already knew we wanted to stay here but it was only available on 2 of the 4 nights we were in Rome so we picked a nearby hotel on our first 2 nights and concluded our stay at this lovely B&B. So glad we did, our room at the Mercure a few steps away paled in comparison to our... More

This little B&B is a wonderful find. I hesitate to review it for fear it will be booked the next time we want to come back to Rome. But I was taught to share. The location is perfect. It is about four blocks from the Colosseum, which is the perfect distance. You can see it out the window of your... More

After looking at what felt like a thousand hotels and b&b's in rome we finally came across this wonderful place. Aldo was very helpful in replying to our emails and getting us booked in and helping us with any queries regarding getting there. He gave us and full guide in getting there using public transport however we opted for a... More

We booked La Finestra Sul Colesseo after reading all the great reviews on here. On arrival we found the entrance a little worrying, the b&b is part of a rustic Italian apartment block. The entrance is quite dark and often smells quite unpleasant. On arriving at the b&b entrance however you would be shocked to think such a beautifully decorated... More

I can fully concur with the other reviewers. La Finestra is exactly as it looks on the website - lovely room, extremely clean, well appointed, quiet and the hosts are very helpful. We arrived early and Aldo's brother Lorenzo came to meet us, and gave us all his tips on where to go and eat. It's a very handy location... More

We stayed here with friends. I must say we were concerned by the appearance of the building & the strange smell when we first entered the premises but were happily relieved when Aldo escorted us up by elevator and showed us to our units. What makes this B&B exceptional are the beautifully appointed, clean, spacious, tastefully decorated rooms, and bathrooms,... More

We spend 3 nights at the B&B "La finestra sul Colosseo and we were very happy with our choice. Already my first "impression via email" was very professional. Aldo and Gioia were very attentive, and helpful. The room was very beautiful and with a lot of love for details. The location was perfectly situated and only a few meters from... More

We stayed here for 6 nights. The location is good, and although it faces a large street, it was surprisingly quiet at night. The room was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The only negative is that the plumbing in the building is a bit noisy. The room had a good Wifi connection and air conditioning. This B & B is... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
