Location and price were our top concerns when choosing hotels and Raffaello was a good price for its manageable / decent location. The closest major site is the colosseum at 15 mins walking distance, followed by 20 mins walk to either Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps. The metro runs along the outer circle of the historic center so not the... More

This hotel was a great value. Highly recommend the larger rooms with the private deck. Central to everything Rome, all major sites were within 1.5 km, easy walking distance for most. The local neighborhood had a nice selection of restaurants and bars along with shops. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Elena did a great job of... More

Had a Wonderful 3 day stay here. The hotel is small but extremely clean and welcoming. We had an economy room with not much of a view but we didn't go to Rome to look out a hotel window. The room was classy, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and accomadating (nothing is too much trouble... More

We stayed here for a 3 day short break. We were made to feel very welcome right from the outset. The staff were, without exception, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and very happy to book trips, recommend restaurants etc. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and although the hotel is situated just off a main road there were no... We can here with friends to see the sights/sites of Rome and were not disappointed. The Raffaello is well placed for most sites. The hotel itself was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were spotless. One lovely touch was being able to get a free coffee/tea/chocolate when returning from a tiring visit!

Nice hotel nice price. Good location. Excellent room and managers. I can walk to Colosseum in 15 minutes. There is a subway station near this hotel and near the subway there is a big market and a great korean market too. Breakfast is better than my expectation. During my 19 days travel, this hotel is the best.

Exceeded our expectations. Everything about this hotel is the best. Hubby upgraded our room as an extra treat and loved our own patio area where we sat in the evening with a glass of wine (or two). Staff knew it was my special birthday and we were given a complementary bottle of wine (many thanks). Via Urbana is a lovely... More

this is a very average hotel! Let me explain. We booked it after reading all WOW reviews here, but were really disappointed with our superior room: very small, jacuzzi shower was a most stupid we've ever seen, I'm rather petite but was to struggle for space. The bathroom wall tiles and the towel rack were dirty! We were delayed 1... More

Dear sandratellef, I wouldn't even know where to start from, but I am going to try. Beginning with the beginning, you have booked here 3 nights, exactly on the Easter weekend, when prices were a bit high, and availability was a huge problem for all hotels in Rome (you know, Vatican and Pope being here). You have had a flight... More

The Hotel was great for the price, and especially accommodating to English speakers. Very clean and comfortable, with remarkably helpful staff. The front desk was always ready to recommend a restaurant, a walk, or help make the tourist comfortable in a busy and very touristic city. There was not a single problematic issue and my family would be most comfortable... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
