Wonderful hotel! The complimentary breakfast had a great variety of items to choose from for my children, as well as as my husband and I. We stayed in the double room. My children each had a twin bed with their own room and my husband and I had a king bed in our room. Very spacious! The staff was incredible!... More

Dear travelwith2kids_8, I spent a little bit of time trying to think about a way of answering back with the same amount of enthusiasm you had while writing your review. :) Truth be told, ...I didn't come up with anything, so I will just have to be happy with thanking you, on the behalf of all my colleagues. :) You... The hotel is in a great location and the room was large and pleasant. Unfortunately, our A/C was not working correctly. We reported it two mornings in a row and it was never properly repaired. We slept two nights too warm and the third night freezing. No way to adjust the thermostat or turn the system off. When I reported... More

Dear Patricia, Thank you for having shared your opinion with the others, as our guests' feedbacks are important to us. Thank you, as well, for being honest about the room and the location. As for the A/C issues you had, we are sorry to hear your dissatisfaction reached such a big level that you signed on Tripadvisor just to compian... More

We stayed at the hotel for just one night on 20/07/15 as we were on our way back from Florence. Good rooms and the facilities and the Receptionists were friendly and very helpful. also it is very close to the Main Rail station and also to the Colleseum. Nalika D'Cunha.

Hotel Raffaello is a fun stay. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The room was comfortable. No view from the room, but we didn't pick the hotel to spend much time there. Convenient location to colosseum and train station. No real complaints besides the wifi not working well. The price was very reasonable given the ease of accessing the... More

Had booked independently and in advance after much research. Was the start of an Italian road trip and it was excellent. We had three nights on 5th to 8th July. Room was great - we were lucky to have the front balcony which we utilised to people watch. A great location not too far from Colosseum, churches and the termini... More

If you plan to travel by train, this is a very good option in a better district than the one of Termini station. By walking in 10 min you get there, 15 min if carrying luggage. The breakfast is really good with variety of options. Clean room, although small; nice and new bathroom but the shower.... a challenge to stay... More

Dear sumacollina, Thank you for having given us a little bit of your precious time... :) Thank you, as well, for reminding Raffaello's number one strength point: its location. Less than half a mile away from Termini, Rome's main train station, and equally layed between both subway lines A and B, Raffaello is situated in Monti district- Rome's most antic... More

This small hotel was recommended to me by a work colleague, and when I read the positive Trip Advisor reviews, I booked it for our 3 night stay. It was just right:a small facility, but some public space in the lobby area, pretty reliable wifi, WONDERFUL breakfast, spotlessly clean room, very well located , quiet, excellent (but part-time) concierge service... Hey! What do you mean part time concierge?! I am here every day from 8 to 14.30, I have one free day per week, and you call this part time!? :)))))))))) And the showers... you forgot to mention the hidromadsage features, due to which they might seem smaller, but I'm with you on this one: no dropping the soap on... We booked this hotel for our first visit to Rome based on good reviews from TripAdvisor. We give it a 5 based on the reasonable price. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and spoke good English. The air conditioner worked very well even though temps were in the mid 90's F. The ladies that prepared the breakfast... More

Very nice, clean and amazingly well located piece of heaven. First good surprise: my friend and I had been upgraded to a superior room with a large terrace on the roof with beautiful views of the city! We recently stayed at Hotel Raffello for four nights. I am a Rick Steve's follower and booked based on his recommendation in his Italy 2015 book. The room was clean with a large bathroom, close to the major sights and the breakfast was the best we had during our 18 day tour of Italy. They offered bread, toast, scrambled eggs,... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
