This is an ideal, good value hotel in the centre of Rome. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. The rooms are well furnished and clean. It is close to the metro and walking distance to the great sites of Rome.

Raffaello Hotel on Via Urbana is located in a very nice safe area known as Monti in 'The Ancient City' according to our AA guidebook with the very impressive Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore is located just around the corner from the hotel (2 mins walk). Centrally located between Termini and Cavour Metro stops, every well known tourist attraction... More

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at the Raffaello at the end of our stay in Italy and we truly enjoyed the great care given to us by the staff there. Especially Elana. She is a delightful young woman who is gifted with making people feel at home and comfortable. She took her time when answering questions for us... More

Dear singer9545, Now that you have baptized me and given me a new name, like so many others before you, ...you are supposed to give me a lamb on Easter, according to the tradition of my country... :) Not joking, just so you'd know... :))))))))))) On a more serious tone now, you're welcome! It was a pleasure having you here,... More

We stayed at the Raffaello Hotel during the Christmas holiday. We were happy with how clean and quiet it was. The breakfast in the morning was very good and nice to have before heading out to see all the sites. This hotel is in a great location for getting to all of the major sites. Also, as I had read... Christine S, Thank you for having found some time for us and for writing about us, we are glad we were able to make your Christmas holidays so serene and enjoyable! :) Thank you, as well, for having reminded about one of our most important strenght points: location! Indeed, Raffaello is situated in the most ancient Roman neighbourhood: Monti district,... More

I enjoyed this Hotel very much. It was on a great localization, close to Colisseum, Roman Forum and Termini Train Station. It offers great comfort, a complete breakfast, excellent services and very good staff quality.

Spent 3 nights here with our family and one child. We actually walked from the train station, pulling our 3 roller bags. Barely a 5 min walk. But not real easy to find. The hotel entrance is on a back street. (and thank goodness I had copied the address off their website, because many taxi drivers didn't even really know... More

Dear Tejastravler, Thank you, first of all, for the time you have dedicated to us, especially after so many months... Hotels in Rome are quite expensive so comparatively this was a good deal and a very nice hotel. Room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was nice and also not too small. Plenty of space to spread out and store our luggage. Location was good. We could walk from the train station and also to the colosseum (about 15 minutes).... More

Dear BBManatee, Thank you for having given us a little bit of your time, our guests' opinions and feedback are important to us... Raffaello has many strenght points, among which, probably on the top of the list, is its location: at equal distances from both A and B metro lines, as well as from Termini, Rome's main train station, and... It was such a Magnificent rooftop bar with very friendly staff and the hotel itself is located in a very central area in Rome. I adored it in general! We stayed from December 26th to Jan 2. We had a quad room that was very clean and spacious. The staff was great and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and coffee. Close to most everything. It feels like you are part of a negihborhood and not just in another hotel.

Dear Tc133, That is exactly what we are trying to do: we want to be more than a hotel! This hotel was perfect for our 3 days in Rome over NYE 2014. Price was very reasonable for the quality of the hotel, and everything about the hotel itself was first-rate. The room was nice-sized, and the bed was pretty comfortable. The bathroom was decent-sized; the shower was teeny-tiny, like most in the EU, but had a nice "massage" feature.... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
