We found this beautiful inexpensive hotel in an excellent location to be one of the best we've stayed in. The lobby, public rooms and guest rooms are beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Everything is very clean. We enjoyed a hardy continental breakfast every morning. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The quiet neighborhood had wonderful restaurants... More

The reason for the title of this review is because I could not believe how incredibly helpful the hotel staff were after reading mixed reviews from people who had stayed here. They were friendly and helped us multiple times, from telling us the best way to get to the sites, telling our taxi driver exactly where we wanted to go... More

We stayed for a week in the Raffaello Hotel and found it a perfect base for our trip. I'll go into more details shortly but I wanted to comment on a previous review by OzBear007. We saw, and heard, the incident when he was asked to come back in 10 minutes as the breakfast room was full. The waitress was... More

Spent a whole day on trip advisor before choosing Raffaello Hotel and could not agree more with all the great reviews. We are a family of 4 from Australia on our first trip to Rome and this hotel made our trip memorable. The hotel was walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Termini Station and walking-short bus trips on Via... More

We have travelled the world extensively and have never come across the most rudest staff. The night manager is rude and arrogant and don't have breakfast included in your Tarif. Find elsewhere to eat. We went for breakfast at 9.30am and was told rudely by the waitress to come back in 10 mins. Mind you breakfast finishes at 10.00am. So... More

Everyone can see how is the staff of the Hotel Raffaello: mostly appreciated. The customers wanted to go in 4 in a room, but they had no documents. We have prevented this, to protect the safety of our guests, and we were blackmailed. More

The Raffaello has a fantastic location!! It is a short walk from most major attractions and is located in a nice and safe neighborhood, filled with great cafes and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast spread is good. The rooms are clean and spacious, though the beds and pillows could use some upgrading...particularly the mattresses, which are... Easy to get to from the train station but enough blocks away to be in a wonderful litlle area with many good small restaurant and 2 minutes from via Nazionale. Great location to walk towards the various Roman ruins areas. Staff very friendly , breakfast first rate, wifi works perfectly,... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
