An absolute gem! Perfect location! Very clean hotel, spacious room with balcony!! When you step out onto the balcony first thing in the morning you can feel the city waking up...it's magical and weird seeing such a mixture of people, shop owners, those on their way to work...how can they have a normal day?? It's ROME, tourists, nuns!! I could... More

Rooms spacious, clean with balcony to the street or courtyard. Location great for Trastevere but also for other side of Tevere since both trams and buses run on the street just outside the door. Next door there is a great and cheap supermarket for that hotel room bottle of wine and bag of crisps:) Walls and doors are thin, yes,... More

Was met by Giorgia,a very friendly, helpful girl who gave us advice on bus/tram times and interesting places to visit.InTrastevere House is an ideal base for tourists, being close to tram and bus stops.our room was spacious and very clean with ensuite toilet/shower.Continental breakfasts were good and there was plenty to eat.Very reasonably priced, I would have no hesitation in recommending... Me and my mother visited Rome 2 weeks ago and had the best time ever!!! This was the second time I was in Rome and I can't wait for the third :) The bed and breakfast is in my favourite neighborhood, lovely Trastevere, great for walks, and full of restaurants, bars and little stores! It is in a safe building, just... More

Rome is a VERY expensive city to visit! Water costs you 5 Euros and a COKE up to 8 euros! Even an espresso you may end up paying 16 euros!!!!!! Keep your eyes open and ALWAYS read MENUS for the prices before you sit down to order. This hotel is a miracle for it's cost. Placed just 100 meters from... More

Location of this B&B in wonderful, central in Trastevere with many good restaurants and cafes nearby and within walking distance from most sights. There is also a bus connection to Termini (bus H) and tram (8) to centre. Rooms were spacious and brightly coloured. Breakfast okay, nothing special but nothing to complain about. The owner does not live on the... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
