This hostel was the iconic realization of dirty, bad, cheap European hostel. The manager insisted that the credit card machine was broken and made me walk (as a young woman by myself) to the nearest ATM--at 11 PM, by myself, in a large city. I did not at all feel safe the entire night--inside or outside the hostel. The rooms... More

According to the fact that Rome is such an expensive city, this is okay if you are on a budget. I was not comfortable there because i had to sleep in the room with strangers , but this place is usually intended for young people who backpack through Europe/ Italy. The bed was clean and okay. You get a bathroom... More

I found this little place clean, and accommodating. True, it is shared rooms, rather small, and slightly–albeit slightly–out of the downtown core, but for price this is worth it. I never hang around a hotel when I'm traveling anyway, so the fact that a train station was a few steps away, and indeed a café in the same plaza square... More

I stayed for 6 nights in Feb and this was by far the worst hostel I stayed in for my entire 4 week trip! Yes the beds were comfy, but the rooms were dirty, my locker was broken and didin't lock at all so I had no where to store any valaubles and on top of that, they make you... More

I spent one night at this Hostel on my way to Florence, Italy. I paid 35 Euros in cash upon arrival, they do not accept credit cards. It was relatively easy to get to from the Fiumicino Airport in Rome. You just take a shuttle which takes about 45 minutes to the Termini station in Rome, which costs 8 Euros,... More

Stayed here for a few nights, enjoyed it. Simple hostel, lockers with keys, nice clean bathroom and kitchen area. Not as much fun as advertised on their website, but I'd reccommend it. Bit far from centre of Rome, but perfect for travellers - easy access to underground transport - runs all night! More

My friend and I were on a 40 day trip through Europe and halfway through, we stayed in Rome for 4 nights. While in Rome, we stayed in the Youth Station Hostel and hated the entire experience. The temperature was hot and while the hostel said they had A/C, the rooms were well over 85 F at night. So uncomfortable... More

Well here is probably one of the biggest but least frills accredited youth hostel I've been to. This hostel is located a tad outta the city, but getting here is not too difficult. A bus connects this directly from Roma central train station and takes you no more than 25 - 30 mins. The place has separate dorms for men... More

This hostel was great. It's in an awesome location with a supermarket right next door and the Metro station is just down the station. At $14 a day you can't go wrong. Its in a very safe end of town and security inside the hostel is top notch plus the staff is great. I highly recommend this hostel if you... More

This is the first hostel I have ever stayed in. It was easy to find and very close to the metro station and bus stops. There is a supermarket right next door so you can buy cheap food and drinks, however, they close quite early (6pm I think). Beds have clean sheets and are not too bad to sleep in.... More
