Although the location is hard to beat, we found the rooms incredibly small and stuffy and the shared bathroom was not always that clean. Another thing we found troublesome was that the doors to the hotel and the door to our floor always seemed to be left wide open. The worst part of our stay there was being awoken late... more

Visited Rome with 3 x 18 yr old boys. Was originally concerned the tours were not going to hold their interest. Thankfully the wonderful guide Ian at Through Eternity had their interest from the first moment. We all enjoyed the experience. This was my 3rd trip to Rome and the one I have enjoyed the most. To be shown around... more

Great little pensione located perfectly for exploring the best that Rome has to offer. Bathrooms very clean. Comfortable bed. Airconditioned - which is important during a Rome summer. Staff very friendly. more

My husband and I stayed four nights at the Hotel Panda in a room that didn't have a bath. We really enjoyed our stay. The linens were wonderful and we never had to wait to use the bathroom. It was very quiet (we had room 17). My ONLY frustration was the lack of convenient advise from staff on questions about... more

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights and although we too were hesitant staying here after reading previous reviews, we walked into our Room No 37 and could not have been more surprised. It was at the end of the hallway, very quiet and nicely furnished. It was huge for european standards with a king sized bed and a... more

My husband and I visited Rome for the 4th time in three years this past October. My husband found the hotel Panda in an article in the New York Times. In looking at the website, I was very concerned. The rooms looked very small and basic. I was fully prepared to get out the credit card once we arrived and... more

In the central area, near the Spanish steps in a street lined with cafes and close to most of the main sites. For the price, 78 euros for a double you'll be hard pressed to get better value. The room was very tiny (disappointed at first sight but got over it as you only go there to sleep!). Probably the... more

We were two adults, two kids, stayed in 1.5 height ensuite room with a sleeping platform on top for kids, super. Lovely staff, fantastic location in the heart of Rome, and unbeatable prices. Easy to see why it has near legend status on the various savvy traveler sites. more

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here in June and thought it was a nice, budget option in a fantastic neighbourhood. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the Piazza Spagna and 3 minutes from the Spagna subway station, and as a result we were able to take the Metro everywhere in Rome, which made the massive... more

We stayed for 2+ weeks, and the Hotel Panda was the worst hotel experience of our lives. My best friend stayed at a youth hostel in Berlin, which was much better for a fraction of the price and compared Hotel Panda to a youth hostel in Rio, which cost even less than the Berlin hostel. We have also stayed at... more
