This gem of a hotel is located in the quiet Aventino neighborhood which, although not extremely close to the heart of the city, is a nice place to return to at the end of the day. The room we got had a large, covered balcony, perfect for watching thunderstorms. The bathroom was pretty small, and I could barely turn around... More

Rooms- the room we stayed in was very beautiful, it had a great view, very clean and a large bed to spread out in after a long day wondering round rome. It has good air conditioning and lots of storage space. My only one slight criticism is that the jacuzzi bath didnt work, but it didnt really bother us. Location-... More

This hotel is in a lovely quiet residential area. A stroll 15/20 minutes downhill takes you to a variety of shops and restaurants. Here you will enjoy authentic, excellent food along with the locals, at prices to suit a modest purse. The hotel staff are lovely, our room was big, the bathroom very well laid out with double sinks and... More

We have recently returned from a week in Rome staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet, residential area which is blissful after the hustle and bustle of Rome. We were greeted by the receptionist who arranged complimentary drinks for us as we were hot and thirsty after our journey. We stayed in a triple room... More

We traveled as a couple and are students, this hotel had a great price and was far better than what we expected ! The place is really charming, the service is great and the location nice in a quiet area of Rome. My favorite part was the breakfast under the trees in the garden :-) I highly recommend this place... We choose this hotel for our wedding trip and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is wonderful! It has a very beautiful garden, clean and quiet rooms. Wi-Fi and A/C are working good. The waitstaff is very friendly, attentive and careful. We will advice this hotel for our friends to stay and have a good time in Rome. P.S. The shield... More

The service at this hotel is really excellent. All our various requests over our three night stay were fulfilled courteously and we were even given a "take away" breakfast on the morning we left early for a flight. The rooms are quite small but the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms good. Whilst the decor is good we had to move... More

My husband and I are retired seniors who stayed at the Villa San Pio May 27th to the 31st of 2014. We travel in North America every year, but this was our first trip to Italy. We booked a double room well in advance after reading glowing reviews of the Hotel Villa San Pio. Unfortunately, our review can not be... More

I have just stayed at the San Pio for the 2nd time this year. Last time, with my wife, we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a very large, superior room. This time we were not so lucky. We were actually due to be staying at the sister hotel Aventino just around the corner but for their own... More

We cannot wait to come back to Rome one day and stay at this hotel! It was a perfect location, as we walked everywhere to and from every day, only taking a taxi twice. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Our waitstaff was just as friendly and made delicious cappuccinos to start off... More
