I have just stayed at the San Pio for the 2nd time this year. Last time, with my wife, we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a very large, superior room. This time we were not so lucky. We were actually due to be staying at the sister hotel Aventino just around the corner but for their own... More

We cannot wait to come back to Rome one day and stay at this hotel! It was a perfect location, as we walked everywhere to and from every day, only taking a taxi twice. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful. Our waitstaff was just as friendly and made delicious cappuccinos to start off... More

I first stayed here 6 years ago for my father's 60th birthday and I loved it so much, I had to come back with my husband for our anniversary. Villa San Pio is in a great location, just a 15 minute walk from colosseum. The area is quiet and very green with tree lined streets. The staff are friendly and... More

Very nice traditional and romantic rooms. Not the feeling of a big hotel, but separate rooms with separate entrances in the garden, which gives you a high sense of privacy. The garden is very green and calm. The staff is friendly and breakfast is fine.

Stayed 20 nights for a combination of business and leisure. Spacious rooms and really great personal service. The breakfast buffet is good but can get monotonous after a week. The hotel is in the beautiful, accessible but quiet Aventino area, a stone's throw away from the Orange Garden. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Villa San Pio for a week at the end of July 2014 with my 12 year old son. It is a very quiet, relaxed hotel in a very peaceful residential part of the city which felt very safe indeed. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and the room was lovely and clean with plenty of... More

Ticked all our boxes. Wonderfully traditional and comfortable rooms (and lift), great breakfast, great staff who helped us by printing out our ticket to the collesuem. Fantastic location. Arrived at 2 am and the staff were very welcoming. To me seems much more 4* than some of the actual 4* hotels we stayed in on this holiday. And for the... More

Very helpful staff make staying here a delight. Rooms are very comfortable but some are in need of refurbishment. The rooms in the annexe containing the breakfast room are better. Breakfast in the garden is the perfect way to start the day, fresh fruit, a variety of hot and cold meats and cheeses. The hotel is in a quiet location... More
