This hotel booked through the travel company Bellaroma- fantastic service and not expensive The hotel is situated in the university area south of the railway station . Don't be put off as the food around is high standard and not overpriced and the bars are buzzing. Lots of little artisan shops. It's easy to walk into the centre or take... More

The Hotel Villa San Lorenzo is a hidden gem in a neighborhood that does not, at first appearance, look like a thriving area. Don't be fooled by the neighborhood - the buildings in the area are covered with graffiti, but remember graffiti is an art form that goes back to the days of the Roman Empire. The first look at... In the middle of a student area, with gritty urban surround sits this old villa: a haven of peace and elegance. It's a simple hotel. Rooms look and feel historic: not everyone's taste, but rather lovely. Windows have old shutters & you awake to the sounds of Rome, open sutters and observe the patio with trees and birds and bright... More

Good service, nice location for young people Although not near the center of Rome, has good restaurants and bars near the hotel. Nice clean room The service at reception was courteous and patient. Average breakfast, but good. Excellent price in relation to value Suitable only for those who do not care to take the bus 10-15 minutes to the center... More

It was an oppressively hot July, and only on my second day did the cleaning staff switch on a button for air-conditioning that I hadn't found--but that was my fault for not having asked. The hotel is respectable and a fair share of its clientele appears to be Europeans coming by car. The hotel is east off the railroad tracks... More

We have stayed in this hotel before and we will stay again. We were caught up in the volcanic situation re Iceland. The staff at this hotel were very helpful. We had booked out and when we phoned them from the airport they told us to come back and even if they could not guarantee our previous room they would... More

This is a hike from Termini, if you have a lot of luggage take a cab and make sure they run the meter (the taxi driver tried to charge me €25 for a 3 minute cab ride). Easy to get to public transport and walk to termini if you don't have a lot to carry. I paid €45 a night,... More

Poor location far from any attractions which you have to reach by taxi or public transport (a trip to St. Peter's takes almost one hour by tram), definitely not the safest and not the most beautiful area of Rome with a lot of graffiti. No fridge in the room which is very inconvenient during summer months especially with a view... More

Stayed here for one night in early Sept. My first impression of the area was that it looked depressed. Lots of graffiti and tagging. Never felt unsafe, though. Walked to hotel from the Termini. The hotel was like an oasis in a desert. Well cared for and tended courtyard in front. Room was beautifully decorated. Bathroom was larger than some... More

This hotel is really bad. The pictures are very deceptive. They said the room had a balcony and a safe and it had neither and it was so tiny that you could barely move around. The shower was 2 feet by 2 feet and flooded when you took a bath. They could remove the bidet and enlarge the shower!! The... More
