Had a great stay at the Galeno, staff were very courteous and polite, will be staying there again when we next visit Rome. Cafe Palledio, 2 minutes from the Galeno is also worth a visit, very friendly staff. Thanks to all who made our visit to Rome a very pleasant one. more

we stayed here for 5 days and had good service. Hotel is close to Termini station, you can take the 90 express bus and drops you off at Porta Pia. Hotel is 1 block from there. Also, the 36 bus drops you off at Porta Pia stop too. Bus costs 1 Euro, and buy the ticket from the magazine stand... more

Stayed at the Galeno with my daughter for three nights during the Thanksgiving holiday. Location is just ok...reasonably close to a metro - but quite removed from restaurants/shops. Quiet location (which was good). The room was small and 'dingy' - but clean. A lick of bright paint would improve what is a very small space. Our groundfloor room had bars... more

Do not stay at this hotel - the staff are rude and arrogant and probably corrupt. The area is also far from touristic places and not very safe at night. I won't go into the condition of the rooms or SHARED bathrooms. Spend a few extra euros or shop around. more

Before everything else, the expectation of this hotel should be set as non-luxury, yet clean and friendly budget hotel. As a single traveler, I had a single bed room which is a size of a closet. It has enough room for a bed, a chair and small round table. The bathroom is also small, standup shower, toilet and a sink... more

Stayed at Hotel-31 May - 1 June 06 it is a 35 minute walk from termini station and not that easy to find. It is close to the government buildings eg British Embassy near Porta Pia. Off a busy main road in a quiet street. There is an electronic security gate entry press bell on pillar walk through a long... more

The worst hotel I ever seen. They don't clean the rooms though they claim that they do. THEY DON'T CLEAN THE ROOMS. You have to beg for a shampoo as they fail to give you one. A hair conditioner is not even mentioned. The breakfast is AWFUL. I could never believe that anywhere in Europe you could be offered such... more

My wife and I were staying in this hotel from Sunday, February 19, 2006 until Thursday, February 23, 2006. We had made a reservation with Hostelpoint.com to stay in a double room at this hotel from Monday, February 20, 2006 until Thursday, February 23, 2006. The reservation stated that we were to pay a 2 Euro booking fee, a non-refundable... more

We stayed here at the end of March 2006. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The first night they messed up our room and we were given a VERY tiny room with an even smaller bathroom with a shower/toilet. However the next day they fixed it and gave us a suite with 3 beds!(there was only 2 of us)... more
