Although initially alarmed by the graffiti on the walls approaching the entrance this was soon dispelled once inside the hotel. This is certainly a gem. Small, family run with only 5 rooms, extremely well maintained, with nice furniture, attention to detail, very nice service, a lovely terrace in the back for breakfast and sitting out in the evening (only until 1045 at night though). We - a couple 24 & 27 - spent two charming nights at this guesthouse. Nothing to complain! However, at warm summer nights it does get noisy, which we didn't really bother. Villa della Fonte is a delightful very small hotel next to a beautiful square perfectly located in ther heart of Trastevere. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Good breakfasts brought to your room. Can't think of anywhere better and more convenient to stay in Rome - will definitely go back. More
