This is an affordable hotel in a central location. The rooms are small, but all areas of the establishment are kept ultra-clean and well-appointed. For breakfast, there is a great variety of cheese, cold cuts, bread, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Both regular coffee and espresso drinks are available. The front desk staff is cordial and helpful. There are plenty... More

5 nights in this comfortable Hotel, literally 2 mins from Termini but in a quiet side street with no noise or disruption. Excellent breakfast with super staff ready to get more coffee or anything else. Friendly and helpful staff on reception - I never saw who it was that refreshed the room every day and brought the clean towels. It's... More

Spent 4 nights here and was as good as we expected for price and rating. Hotel is clean. Staff are pleasent and helpful. Location near Termini is handy for Trains, Busses, Metro and Hop on Hop off coaches. Hotel has few facilities but as we only ate and slept there we did not need them.

This hotel was clean and people were friendly, they had a nice breakfast buffet, you are close to metro and bus stops which will take you to any destination you want; if you like to walk you are 20-30 mins away from the usual attractions: Forum, Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, etc; you could even walk an hour or so to the... Very closed to Termini(main train and bus station), two National museums, Plazza della Repubblica, 20-30 minutes to other main attractions by walk(not including Vatican), several good restaurants abound the corner. Floor is marble not carpet, looked very tidy, not big room but comfort and clean, toilet use marble(or some kind of stone like marble), I quite like the patten with... More

The hotel is average. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but clean. My biggest complaint is the internet. I was able to connect but many times, the webpage would not load. The speed was also very slow. I am also a light sleeper and the outside noise was pretty bad. I know this isn't the hotels... More

We had booked in here for a night before our cruise and 2 nights at end of cruise. We arrived to be told that we could not check in until 2.00 pm, the Receptionist was not overly friendly. We left our bags in the luggage room and checked in a few hours later. We were booked in for one night,... More

Stayed for 6 nights after experiencing a bit of a nightmare in another Rome hotel. Had a room on the 5th floor, 506. This was very nicely decorated, had a large en-suite and a sun terrace which was fab. Not a great view, just looking out over the roofs of adjoining buildings, but still nice to sit outside in the... I booked this hotel as it had all of the things I wanted. Wifi, breakfast included, twin room, good location and a good price. It lived up to everything I wanted. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was filling and was efficient. The only downside would be that my mum thought the shower was small. The... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
