This hotel is just a bland hotel. I don't know what is so good about this hotel, that is rated so highly. The location is good, close to the train terminal if that is what you desire. The room that we were given for 3 people was extremely small. We were made to go upstairs with our luggage because the... More

The air-conditioner did not work on our second night there, but we had an early flight and had to check out at 3 in the morning. Thus, we were forced to stay in a hot room. It would be better to have the ac and at least caught some sleep before my 28 hours of flights and layover. The staff... More

The hotel is very near Roma Termini and is therefore a very convient location. It is easy to find and only 5/10 minutes away from the station. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They checked us in quickly and gave us a map and lots of suggestions of what we could do and what was good to... More

We arrived Monday 13jul15 , mid afternoon. A friendly and helpful female receptionist. We stayed here in 2004 and could think of no particular issue that would not make us stay again.Things of note ; an easy 450 metre walk to/from station; pleasant, though smallish room, refurbished bathroom (though the shower recess is very tight) effective air con, provided fan... We stayed in this hotel for three nights and thought this was a reasonably priced hotel in a central location, within walking distance of the central train station and the Colloseum. The hotel has been refurbished and while the rooms are quite small, they were clean and modern. Small bathroom, but this also seems to be the norm in Italy.... More

Just a walk to the above ground and underground rails and walking distance ( for fit people) to Trevi Fountain and even the Spanish steps at a pinch. Rooms were very snug but ample, bathrooms even tighter but clean and tidy. The breakfast was OK as cold breakfast but had some interesting foods in devilled eggs and cold meats etc.

this was our first stop on a two week italy tour with our kids, 13 and 14 boys. room was tight but no more than expected for a european city hotel. room was clean except for 2 pairs of socks left under a bed (ew). nice sitting area behind lobby. receptionists were a little grouchy. breakfast was decent - doesn't... We stayed at Windrose Hotel for its location to the station. We walked from the station, about 10 minutes. Very happy with our room and service. The staff are very helpful with any request . There is a laundromat close by and the hop on hop off bus is 5 minutes away. Good hotel at a reasonable price.

Staff were friendly and spoke English well. The room was clean, with a large bathroom, free wifi, air conditioning and a small balcony (not a great view though). This is a good location if you need to be close to Termini train station but not great for walking around Rome (too far from most of the sites).

This hotel is in a very accessible location, especially if you are taking the train. It was very clean but on the small size. I stayed on my own and felt comfortable in the hotel. The breakfast is good and the staff are cordial. It was kind of noisy; I could hear everything going on outside of my room but... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
