Booked this hotel 48 hours before travelling as had decided on a last minute city break...staff very friendly on arrival with lots of ideas of where to go and what to see. Rooms clean and tidy, no kettle in the room which would have been nice. Very noisy at night if windows open...but air conditioning meant windows better shut anyway!... More

Would highly recommend for a few nights in the city. Very comfortable, clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. In a safe, quiet area, about 5 minute walk to Termini. Free WiFi in the room and a lovely continental breakfast.

This hotel is close to the train station (termini). It is also a short walk to the Trevi Fountain, which is closed for renovations and also not far from the Spanish Steps. While the rooms are small they are adequate if you are only staying for a night or two. Lydia at reception is extremely helpful and will have suggestions... More

Ok, the hotel was good, but the approach to the hotel was about 20 meters walk from the main road, the room were very tiny but clean specially if you are travelling with a baby. The staff was very polite and friendly they even guided us for the nearest pharmacy in case if any medication is required for the the... More

Can highly recommend this hotel. Good value for money, clean and helpful staff . Lovely family restaurant across the road. In walking distance to Rome's main train station Termini which makes transport arrangements quite easy. Would go again. Chris Moschides South Africa

I stopped here with my mom in March 2015 and our visit was great. We stopped for 5 nights and had no issues while we were here, enjoyed the continental breakfast and found the room to be very nice. The bathroom was more luxurious than we expected with a great shower and we also had a lovely double doors that... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but it had all that we needed. The bathroom was very small and the shower was like a small box. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure. The place was clean and the bed was hard. The pillows were flat and the AC was cool, which is... More

This hotel is just a bland hotel. I don't know what is so good about this hotel, that is rated so highly. The location is good, close to the train terminal if that is what you desire. The room that we were given for 3 people was extremely small. We were made to go upstairs with our luggage because the... More

The air-conditioner did not work on our second night there, but we had an early flight and had to check out at 3 in the morning. Thus, we were forced to stay in a hot room. It would be better to have the ac and at least caught some sleep before my 28 hours of flights and layover. The staff... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
