We normally stay in larger hotels, so I was a little leery of staying in such a small establishment but it worked out very well. The hotel is the 2nd floor of the building. It’s a little disconcerting when you first arrive, as you have to buzz the intercom to be let in the large wooden door to the building.... More

Caesar House is within walking distance of the Colosseum and Forum. This is not a typical hotel and there is not much signage out front so it is confusing when you arrive. You enter what looks like a dark garage and take an elevator to the second floor where the hotel lobby is located. We found our room to be... More

We recently stayed in 9 different hotels in Italy/Croatia and this was one of the best. Very helpful and friendly staff that went out of their way to be accomodating for us. Convenient location, maybe 10 minutes to walk to the colosseum, 15/20 minute walk to Termini. It got a little loud some nights with the pub behind the hotel,... More

The problem with this place is its location. Fine, if you wish to spend your time at the Coliseum and the Forum, which are both within a five minute walk. However, Via Cavour is one of Rome's busiest thoroughfares and not a particularly pleasant one. All of the accommodation is on an upper floor and is more like serviced rooms... More

We chose this small Hotel based on the location, near the Coliseum. The staff was very helpful with our daily sightseeing plans and resturant recommendations. Room was very nice with breakfast served every morning to our room. I would highly recommend staying here when in Rome.

The Rome Marathon starts and finishes very near the Caesar House. You can walk to the race start and walk directly home after the finish. The hotel location is around the corner from the Coliseum Metro stop. There are numerous restaurants right on the same street. Upon making our reservation, we received an email asking if we would like a... More

Let's be clear - Caesar House is not a hotel, it's more like a B&B with concierge service. The rooms are well decorated, spacious for a European city-centre, the beds are large and the location is superb. But these are not the reasons it is an exceptional place to stay. It's the service. Rosanna looks after you so well -... More

We have just arrived back from a 4 day stay at Caesar House and we were so impressed with the hotel I wanted to write a review immediately. The location is excellent as the hotel is situated on Via Cavour which is opposite the Roman forum and a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum. The hotel itself was very small... More

I first came across this hotel a couple of years ago when it was featured in the travel section of a Sunday newspaper. It got a very good review and I took a note of the name for future reference as we hoped to visit Rome in the not too distant future. In June of this year, we visited Rome.... More

Probably more 3.5 rating, due to the really helpful lady concierge & handiness to all the must see sites within walking distance. Rooms are typically smallish, but admittedly, we weren't in Rome to hang out at our hotel. On the map it looks quite close to the station, but suggest that you get a taxi, as it's a LONG walk...
