As already many times has been said here, the hotel located in the center of the city. So you can reach historical attractions just in some minutes. The hotel itself seems to be a big flat on the 3rd floor of the nice house of the 19th century. The interiors are traditional and handsome. The staff is very friendly and... More

The top draw here is the location. You can walk out your front door and be at the Colosseum or Forum within minutes. In fact, if you are a walker most destinations are within reach. We only used public transport for the Vatican and Trastevere. The building is quaint and the rooms are spacious if a little rough around the... More

The location of the rooms was ideal. 5 minutes walk to the Colosseum, 10 minutes to the main shopping streets. We had the Gaia room, which was small for 3 people, poorly and old fashion decorated and the beds were not that good. We stayed only for one night and it was a Friday so I don't know if the... More

Outstanding hotel tucked away on Via Cavour is an A+ for location. Within walking distance of a number of Rome's attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, very child friendly. Hotel staff spent extra time chatting with the kids and making them feel welcomed.

I've chosen this hotel only for itz location but later i was surprised by the building as it was built in 19th century and was beautiful . The Elevator was amazing like one used by Bruce Wayne , lol . Coming to location , it is centrally located and is walkable to most of the monuments of Rome , you... More

Budget travelers can enjoy this small but caring hotel within easy walking distance of all the main attractions in historic Rome. Staff were so helpful and welcoming that we left them a small gratuity. Rosanna deserves special thanks. In addition you can take public transportation from the airport to the main terminal and we were able to walk all downhill... More

This charming little hotel is located on the third floor (the 2nd floor by European standards) of a building right around the corner and across the street from the Forum, with the Colleseum just a very short walk away. Very friendly staff. Decent continental breakfast to order.

The location is perfect, just minutes from the Forum and the Colosseum, but the area still have the feel of a residential neighborhood and it is not overrun by tourist. The staff was wonderful, welcoming, pleasant and fun to chat with about the city. Rosanna, who is studying art history at the University was especially knowledgeable and forthcoming with advice.... The location is brilliant, being opposite the Forum and within a couple of hundred yards of the Colosseum. The hotel itself is quite hard to find (down the bottom of the Via Cavour just before the small petrol station) as it shares a non descript entrance with another hotel and there is only a small plaque outside with the name... Cutest hidden gem.. just a short walk to the coliseum, the roman forum, and many many restaurants. The rooms were clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. It seemed very quiet for such a wonderful hotel, especially during August. The breakfast was a bit disappointing to a north american, but of course we experienced this everywhere in Europe.... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
