We stayed 4 nights in April 2014 at Alberto's House. The location of the place is very good - although this area is called by the local the "china town". But no worries ! Its full of friendly people and good chinese and indian restaurants. There is a metro station just in front of the B&B so all the important... More

Lovely , clean place with the most friendy staff. Stayed in a triple room for 4 nights. Location is perfect, 10 -15 min walk to Colosseum, metro station entrance outside the building. Thank you very much for all, you've been great hosts. Would definitely recommend it. I'll be back :-)

I have booked a room at Carlo Alberto's House for about 2 month ago. A week ago I got a very harsh email telling me, that they had a problem with my credit card. As I know now, this was a lie, because they had tried to cancel my reservation this way. But my credit card was OK, so they... More

Located in the heart of Rome, one step away from every cultural place that have made this town a dream to visit, this b&b is clean, with a familiar vibe and lovely people that run it. I will come back here every time I can!

Located blocks away from Termini Station. Nice and clean, quiet building, super nice breakfast and very friendly/helpful staff. Wi-Fi, fridge, safe... what else can you need? When visiting Rome with a budget in mind, this is your best choice!

A lovely and very friendly little B&B just 5 minutes walk from the central station. We stayed there for 3 nights. They do a good generous breakfast that as well as the regular cereal, toast etc includes something different each day, sometimes home-cooked delights. We walked to all the major sites from the hotel, where the Coloseum isn't all that... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
