Had chosen this hotel from the reviews read here and was very impressed with the Hotel. Its about a 10 minute walk from the Roma Termini (which feels long with luggage) but very conveniently located with good bus connections to the entire city. Looking at the hotel building from outside, and going up an ancient elevator, we were a little... More

This was the last of 8 hotels my boyfriend and I stayed in on our two week vacation and was probably the best. Its a little far to walk if you have luggage but well worth it. The staff was the best part, I didn't get his name but a very sweet Italian man helped us during our two days... More

Hotel ercoli was the first hotel of our eurotrip and it was a very good choice I think! Though it's semi far from the station and main attractions, it's worth the walk. It's quiet at night and in a good neighborhood. And the BEST ice cream in Italy is 1 block away. (I Caruso ice cream) The buffet breakfast was... More

We just came back from Rome... and had chosen this hotel from the positive reviews read here. We were not disappointed : quite close to Termini train station (quick 2-stop bus ride or 10-15 min. walk) but in a better neighbourhood than the close area, quiet neighbourhood - a plus in a busy city like Rome (quite nice and upscale,... i visited the hotel in November with my parents and we ordered 2 rooms, one for them and one for me. when we arrived at noon time it took us some time to figure out how to rich it, since it has no lobby and located on a 3 floor of an old building. we arrived very tired with our... More

I want to stress it out: the Ercoli is an acceptable hotel considering it is a 2-star facility. However there is no way I will ever stay there again. What is good about Ercoli is mainly its location: it is quite central, near to a subway station and it is a convenient starting point for excursions into the city. For... More

This hotel was inexpensive. But you get what you pay for...and in cases like Hotel Ercoli, more than we bargained for. About the property: The entrance and stairway reeked of mold making it smelly and dirty. We saw feces on the toilet seat and dead insects in the room. Breakfast was disgusting and because one of our party got food... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ercoli hotel. We thought it was more of a 3 stars hotel. The room was very clean, the breakfast was very rich and satisfying, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is situated in a nice neighborhood but is a bit far from the center. There are bus lines arriving close to... More

The staff at Hotel Ercoli was very nice and with one exception, they all spoke English very well. The breakfast served complimentary was delicious and very similar to the one in the hotel in Venice that we paid almost twice as much for. It had flaky croissant, strong Italian coffee, cured meats, cheeses, the freshest fruit I'd ever had, tomatoes,... More
