It doesn't really feel like a hotel but more like short term lease of a flat that is a little hard to find. The real strengths of this hotel was the location, the charm along with the polite and helpful members of staff that guard the small Hotel upper entrance. I feel the hotel was over priced and the lack... More

It is far from the railway station and was difficult to find as it was our first time in Rome. Also the staff is extremely sweet but they don't speak English well. Clean but tiny. Nothing nice close by.

This hotel is located behind the American embassy in Rome and it is close to Barberini metro station. It is Quite central. Piazza di Spagna is ten minutes away and you can easily walk to the center from the hotel. The rooms are small but nice. The service is good.

The rooms are clean and cozy, the staff is lovely, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not spectacular, but there is everything you need. The location is not central, but it is in a very nice residential area, where you feel absolutely safe to walk in the night and you are slightly outside the super busy traffic and chaos of Rome.... Had chosen this hotel from the reviews read here and was very impressed with the Hotel. Its about a 10 minute walk from the Roma Termini (which feels long with luggage) but very conveniently located with good bus connections to the entire city. Looking at the hotel building from outside, and going up an ancient elevator, we were a little... More

This was the last of 8 hotels my boyfriend and I stayed in on our two week vacation and was probably the best. Its a little far to walk if you have luggage but well worth it. The staff was the best part, I didn't get his name but a very sweet Italian man helped us during our two days... More

Hotel ercoli was the first hotel of our eurotrip and it was a very good choice I think! Though it's semi far from the station and main attractions, it's worth the walk. It's quiet at night and in a good neighborhood. And the BEST ice cream in Italy is 1 block away. (I Caruso ice cream) The buffet breakfast was... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
