This is a great little hotel in a very nice location. Lots of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Room was fine for the price , was clean and had air conditioning. Bathroom and shower were fine too. Breakfast was continental and the coffee was good ! Staff were helpful with advice and booking taxis for us. For... more

Location wasn't bad, but not great; rooms were clean; breakfast was lousy, and the coffee undrinkable; some of the family was very polite, but the male night clerk was as rude as they get; there's a 10-10 limit on using the internet which is just stupid when you want to find things out in the early morning; I always had... more

Great service from the staff. Everyone was courteous and helpful. It was 38 degrees C in Rome and our room air conditioning was defective. The staff found us another room for 4 the next morning with excellent air conditioning. Breakfast is basic but good. Hotel is clean, quiet. Perfectly situated in a nice and safe area. We were able to... more

I was really excited about this hotel...thought I found an inexpensive gem...wow, how was I wrong. First and foremost, the air conditioner barely even worked while we were there...and we went in July. We mentioned it to the owners/staff and they stated that a worker was coming out the next day to fix the ac...but we had a portable fan... more

I stayed at Hotel Ercoli on my first (and only trip until now) to Italy back in April 2007. This is a great budget hotel. The price was very decent. The hotel is a 15 minutes walk from the Termini (main train station) in a very nice (upscale) neighborhood and completely safe (compared to the hotels right beside the Termini).... more

The beds are the best feature of this hotel. They are very comfortable. The area is nice and you will feel safe. Very limited English (if any) is spoken, but it was not a problem. Bring ear plugs for the noise level while sleeping, if you get a room on the street side, and you will be fine. Breakfast was... more

The Ercoli Hotel cannot be faulted for its cleanliness -- the room was very well kept and the bathroom was modern and updated. It was also a decent 10-15 minute walk to the train station. These two things made it a decent value for the 115 Euro we paid. The biggest problem we faced was its out of the way... more

For a budget hotel, this place is a little gem!! Situated quite close to the major train situation and also quite central in the city, its perfect for anyone wanting to experience all that rome has to offer! The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the only thing is the shower was a little cramped, but not a major problem. The... more

The Hotel Ercoli is a good budget hotel not far from the major train station in Rome which is also a bus stop hub so transportation is pretty good. The hotel was clean but not very clean. The room is large enough however the shower is incredibily tiny and the temperature does not regulate well. It is not in a... more

The hotel was in excellent condition and the bedroom was reasonably roomy. The hotel was on the 3rd floor (accessible by stairs or elevator) of a building located conveniently next to a street full of shops and restaurants and a little off the main drag. The shower was very tiny to the point where I ended up hitting my elbows... more
