Saw this on travel secrets so searched for it while in Rome. The garden is on a terrace above road level. So you will not be able to find it visually. Look for the signage below and it will lead you towards it. Beware of a "confused" old lady, who ran out of the bushes, demanding that we pay her... More

Nice-city hotel/bed&breakfast. Very good breakfast and a nice view of the vatican! Just two blocks away of vatican-city. Only the shower-faucet need a replacement. B&B room R2 The location of the hotel is perfect and the price is good.

My friend and I just recently travelled to Rome and had an amazing experience. As for the hotel, I also developped strange bites all over my body, yet I did not physically see any bed bugs in the hotel. I do find it a weird coincidence that another traveller who posted below also shares the same bites that my friend... More

I spent 3 nights in May for a business trip in Rome. Location is really percet being so close to Vatican and sharing the facilities of the hotel nearby. I would suggest a simple refurbishment: removing the carpet, new sound proof window and some new furnitures.

My fiancee and I stayed here for 7 nights. Midway through our stay, little bites started showing up all over me. Now, I had the unfortunate experience of bed bugs at a hotel in Valencia California. Though I didn't actually see any bed bugs here, the bites that were showing up looked exactly the same. I not talking about a... More

If your looking to be right by the Vatican... This is the place I literally down the street from it and a decent price too. Didn't stay in much but for what I used it for on terms of having a place to sleep at night it is well worth the price.

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighborhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighborhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighborhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
