I stayed for 3 nights with my girlfriend at this hotel, we had a room at 5th floor. The place si very central, 10 min from Termini, Colosseum, Trevi or metro station Republica. I recommend this hotel, it is clean and i think this was the most important thing for us. The bad was comfortable, but we didn't like the... More

I try to give a fair review of a hotel with all things considered, but I don't have many good things to say about our room. We paid about 280 a night for this room and were booked in an older room, and throughout our travel in Europe this hotel was probably our least favorite. The building itself is very... More

We had booked New Morpheus rooms for 7 nights, but unfortunately they gave us rooms on the 4th floor, which was obviously not what we had booked. We asked if this is New Morpheus, and she said it is the same rooms, so we believed her. The next morning we couldn sleep after 6am because the room maids' room was... More

I stayed at the "New Morpheus Room" for 5 days in the month of September, and I have to admit that the experience was very enjoyable. The place is central, very close to the most famous site, 10/15 minutes from Coliseum, Venezia Square, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The multilingual staff, is very helpful, smiling and ready to give tips... More

Stayed in a triple room in September. Room was clean, not a large room, but third bed was at least not a trundle. Bathroom quite small but managed to keep clothes and floor reasonably dry. Great location , 5 minutes to Republica metro. Some good restaurants and bars on surrounding blocks. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Depending... More

I am working in tourism industry in my country and know very well how to filter the information written in some tripadvisor reviews . When we booked the hotel we only wanted to get a good location, reasonable price, simple breakfast ( croissant or bread and butter with jam and cup of coffee / tea). I booked the room directly... We have just stayed for one night here booked through bookings.com. Once we had our bearings it was not hard to find, however we did get a taxi from Tiburtina station (€11) in the first instance which did help. Staff were good and helpful and the reception was staffed 24 hrs. We stayed on the 4th floor in room 4,... More

My husband and I took a trip down to Rome via the train. This hotel was within walking distance from the Coliseum, Roman Forum and the Museums. It had a normal European breakfast. Cafe, juice, pastries, fruit and boiled eggs. Within walking distance to the Metro and bus stops and some great restaurants. They let us keep our bags there... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
