Hotel Fenix was a somewhat frustrating hotel. It is close enough to Rome city centre to attract higher prices and smaller room sizes than you might get out of town, but far enough out of the centre not to be really convenient.it is quite a walk from where the hotel is in towards the city centre. The rooms themselves appeared... More

It doesn't happen often to spend a night in the city you live in... We two decided to treat ourself for a special occasion... The hotel: Nicely decorated rooms, friendly personnel, excellent restaurant! A very delightful experience. More than recommended!

Room was very small. Bathroom was OK. The airconditioning did not work so in my room it was always 25°C, even in November. Bed was not very comfortable. Television had mainly Italian networks. Breakfast was fine and a good start of the day. Location was not ideal if you want to visit Rome, although public transportation is easily accessible. Perfect... More

We found the location peaceful but easily accessible to the city and the main rail station as it is well serviced by buses. Staff were helpful and courteous with a streak of humour. Breakfast was generous but not hugely exciting. Rooms were comfortable and perfectly acceptable, The price is reasonable given its convenience. It is near Quartiere Coppede and Villa... More

The staff and accommodation at this hotel is great. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. You are treated on an individual basis and not just a number. Highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning in future to this hotel.

I went for a weekend trip to Rome alone, the hotel is 10 min from the termini (bus 90), it has a small but good bar, breakfast are good and good service. It's far from the colosseo (1:30 hour walking or 10 min to the termini in bus and 20 min walking to the colosseo), but it has a bus... More

A couple of years ago I stayed in a 4 star hotel in Pisa, outside the historic centre and the price per night was lower than other 4 star hotels in Pisa. I expected the experience at this hotel to be similar but it was inferior. The hotel is very old fashioned, with old fashioned beds and traditional keys that... More

Pros: Cozy and Romantic. Clean and Quiet. Cons: Breakfast need to have more variety. Lift is small and slow. Hotel is overpriced but so is every thing else in Rome Location: The Metro Station is not as close as it looks on the map. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and take you to the center. Not much... More
