We spent four long nights at the Stendhal Hotel in Rome, Italy from Jan. 1 - 4, 2015. Long because the mattresses sagged terribly. The room was too small for the bathroom door to open all of the way. The heat kept the room about 80 degrees. We had to open the window to cool off the room but the... More

Dear Customer, Always we accept the bad reviews because we use it to improve our service, but reading your comments, there is no sense to reply you point to point; may be that we will change directly the planet. We await the new platform on the planet Mars ... and, of course, we will bring our milk !!! Best regards. More

Again, as I mentioned in my review of the Radisson Blu, I don't know what Roman hotel standards are like but this hotel definitely doesn't fit the bill as a four star in my book. Yes ok the rooms are absolutely tiny - but even if we excuse this, the level of service on offer just doesn't really seem to... More

The hotel Stendhal opened a new section around the corner from the main hotel this is where we stayed. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were beautifully done. I think we were the first or second people to stay in the rooms we booked. Since you are not in the main hotel you have to walk around the corner... More

We stayed two nights in the Stendhal hotel in November. We loved the fact that we could walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Although they were working on the Fountain and there was no water we could get up close to the statues. We were also a short cab ride to the Vatican City and the Colosseum.... More

I debated on whether to rate 3 or 4 stars, but went with 4 for a few reasons... As most reviews on here mention, the breakfast is not great. It's a small buffet with stone cold scrambled eggs, yogurt with toppings, fruit, a few meats and cheeses, and delicious pastries. However, the coffee is excellent and what you pick off... More

Dear Customer, Thanks for leaving your travel experience in Trip Advisor. Overall the review is largely positive, but I'm sorry to have lost a point due of our eggs. I pledge to improve the breakfast, especially the eggs; maybe we could get five stars. Of course we await you, to taste our steps. Many thanks. More

The hotel is simply wonderful! Centrally located, you are at a walking distance of everything (except the Vatican). Great restaurants and shops across the street and a bust stop and metro stop right in front of the hotel! Staff are super friendly and helpful and the rooms and a small and cozy. The only downside is the breakfast which only... More

The location is centrally located in easy walking distance to most sites. Room was large by comparison to most European hotels. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is hot and cold buffet and plentiful to start the day. The staff was quite helpful. We would definitely rebook our future stay at this hotel.

My room was very very small but clean. The bed was low and hard but comfortable. The bathroom has a nice size. Pity that the breakfast area us very small and always full( we had to wait for a table) Tables are small and not practical. Breakfast is basic. Location is good. Very centric.

Dear customer, thanks for letting your travel experience in trip advisor. Thanks for all the positive notes, however, I take this opportunity to remind some small details about the Stendhal Hotel. The size of the rooms, often already warned in my answers, it depends on what room is booked; our standards are regular with Hotels of the same category. We... More

The hotel is very pleasant, very nicely furnished in a cosy old style. Rooms are not too big but of a good size and with all the amenities. The turn-down service is very good and attentive. Breakfast is good and rich, with an ample selection of cereals, breads, Danish pastries and the like. Staff members are friendly and available. It... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
