We stayed here for two nights, we were upgraded to some adjoining suites. The room were very nice and the breakfast that was included was great. I would stay here again. Only issue at all was traffic noise, but it's in the middle of Rome and they windows are as sound proofed as possible. Wifi worked very well.

We stayed at Stendhal in the first week of May'15. Totally loved our stay here. Rooms are spacious and verrrrry clean. Location and cleanliness are my top priority and Stendhal was 10/10. It's a reasonably priced hotel located close to all major attractions and a metro station. We walked to all attractions and took metro to Vetican city. Staff was... More

With so much choice in Rome we where so lucky to find this hotel , from the moment we arrived the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was a joy to take , after the rude arrival in ciampino we badly needed a friendly face , we where given an option of the luxury suites or the main hotel and... Nice fresh hotel, close to open top tourist bus station and metro. Location also means you can easily walk to the trevi fountain, pantheon, piazza navona and many restaurants. Professional staff, Suraj and Carlogio were thoughtful, helpful and friendly. Breakfast service was good.

This hotel is ideally situated for Barberini and the metro. Most taxi drivers don't seem to know it so make sure you ask for the Barberini end of Via del Tritone. The rooms are a decent size and the staff are very friendly and helpful. What lets it down is the service from the waiting staff at breakfast. They always... More

Very good standard Hotel, clean and well placed for a lot of Rome must visit sights. This is one of the most friendly Hotels I've been in Rome, (I come often to visit family) the man who served me the most at breakfast remembered my preferences, I appreciated that. As the servings at breakfasts diminish, the staff promptly fill them... More

I found the Stendhal Hotel on my last leg of our recent trip to Italy. It's four blocks from the Trevi fountain in the Barbarini district. I was on my own at this point of the trip and had the cutest little single room. The hotel is spotless and decorated beautifully. They serve a wonderful complimentary breakfast and have snacks... What can I say, except, the Hotel Stendhal is an amazing value for the location. As noted on prior reviews, our room was small by American standards (normal for European standards), slightly on the warm side and the traffic was constant (Via Del Tritone is a major thoroughfare, which we considered more of a benefit than hindrance). With the exception... More

Very conveniently located, this hotel gives you all you need when visiting Rome: nice comfortable rooms and very friendly service. For a more private stay you can request a room in the annex. Breakfast is good, not great - but you don't come to Rome to eat at your hotel, do you? Concierges are attentive and always ready to give... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
