We stayed here for two nights to enable us to do some historic sightseeing. The hotel is hidden and when we arrived the taxi driver attempted to get us through the large black door via an intetercom. Eventually a smaller door opened and the night porter appeared. Thought I was in Transylvania!. The porter was ok at first but eventually... More

My wife and I stayed here recently, and were originally booked to stay at another of the Gruppo Trevi hotels. We arrived two hours late to FCO and on arrival at the other hotel we were informed the toilet was broken and we would be taken to another hotel at their expense with no further charges. I must admit, having... More

I don't mind its hidden but I do mind that they are located on the second floor (1 floor up) from the front, no one ever at the door to help with bags or anything. No signs. After about 6 PM they lock the door and you have to ring to get them to open the door. Worst 'art' decorating... More

The Wi-Fi is terrible. ⅔ or more of the time it did not work. Between our 3 phone and 1 tablet all had the same bad results. The front door is a major pain. Although between 9 AM to 5 PM the front door was open it was locked shut all other times. There is a buzzer to ask to... More

Great location, walking distance to all landmark attractions in this ancient city. No need to take public transportation or train. Small but really nice hotel with free wifi and Italian buffet breakfast. Clean, nice rooms. Excellence personal service from Signore Giovanni. He was friendly, helpful, always smiling.👍👍Two thumbs up for Giovanni. Highly recommended for the location and service.

Before arriving I was concerned about some bad reviews especially after a bad experience in the previous hotel. My room is not big but high ceilings comfy and clean. AC works really well and it's 40oC here so definitely works I have heard some rooms in the back has a bad noise problem but mine is fine Of course we... More

We have been lucky enough to be in Italy twice in 9 months time; on both occasions, we stayed at Locanda Cairoli while in Rome. The staff was helpful, the breakfasts very nice, the rooms clean and ,yes, we did request a room on the 'quieter' side of the building. The location is perfect for good dining choices, walking just... More

Comfortable rooms, small but very nice. Wonderful breakfast and helpful staff. A great location for exploring Rome. Just walk out the door and go. Everything is close by. No taxis to take, no metro, just walk You'll love it. Yes the rooms are not sound proof and we too as other reviewers have noted felt the vibrations from the tram.... More

I am used to go to loud techno events and raves so I am really not sensitive to noise, but it was so loud, that it was almost unbearable. Generally not a 4star hotel, more like a good 3 star. No proper duvets, only one big breakfast table which you have to share with strangers and mediocre breakfast. Staff very... More

My bf booked the hotel using priceline. We felt ripped off. After reading reviews from others we tried to take our precautions. First, I'm not a fan of stairs because of a broken ancle. Second, the rooms seemed small. Third, we are both light sleepers. Bf called the hotel to make sure that I wouldn't have to climb stairs and... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
