As a stopgap to sleep this hotel is fine, and is close to a lot of the attractions in Rome. Although I would consider all of Rome to be an attraction. First off the hotel is central with the tram-stop almost next to the hotel. Also you can take the bus to Vatican City about a five minute walk from... More

We paid 50$ for the hotel. So for that price it wasn't too bad. Breakfast was simple. The rooms somewhat old but clean. Paintings are very weird but they add a nice touch to the hotel. Staff was friendly they helped us navigate around Rome. The hotel is small and it wasn't anything too fancy. It was cute though. Wifi... More

I'll keep this short, booked through Hotwire ('oooooh this hotel is so good we're keeping it a secret') because it was listed as a 4 Star hotel. It is a 2 star hotel at best. The problem is not with the hotel, it is with Hotwire. If you are sold a 4 star hotel, you expect at the very minimum... More

There is absolutely no way this place should be considered a four-star hotel. There are streetcars/trams that run down the street beside this hotel and every time they went by there was a deafening roar inside our hotel room and the walls would shake. Mercifully, it did not happen after 11 p.m. Our room seemed clean but the bathroom needed... More

We spent a week at Locanda Cairoli. Before booking we did look at the TripAdvisor reviews, but, being optimistic by nature, we glossed over the negative ones to focus on the positive ones. We thought <it can't be "that" bad>... Well, we started to realize our mistake as soon as were buzzed into their shabby foyer, at the end of... More

Great location, we walked almost everywhere. One of staffs was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was included and very good. But the room itself is very small, facility is old, the noisy from street is very loud.

The worst staff and place. Third world feel walking in, and the old man at the desk said they overbooked us and sent us to even a worse hotel which they own. Rome garden Hotel!! Don't do this place. We ended up spending more money and going to the Hilton!! If you like rude people, impossible entrance and possible overbook... More

Good points - Great location for tourist sights, walking distance to many , friendly staff, good choice for breakfast, clean spacious room. Bad points - air con not working, even after night staff had a look at it on first night, given room at the front of the hotel with tram noise late into the night, ants running around the... More

We come here for vacation but got a horrible experience. To find the entrance is a very, very scaring experience!!! We arrived at 6 pm on Sep 7th and got a room at the end of the hall way. It has no cellphone signals, no wifi signals. We mentioned that to the front desk and only being told this was... More

I have recently stayed at this hotel with my family (so 4 adults and 2 infants), and feel very unwelcome by the staffs there. Let's talk about what is good. 1) Location is very convenient. The hotel is close to a lot of places tourist would like to go 2) Price is not bad, but I stayed at a better... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
