This hotel was adequate. It was well kept and pleasant inside. I we asked for an interior court room and found it very quiet, which we loved. Also, with the shutters and drapes, the room could be very dark. We also felt the room size and accommodations, even though not spacious, were satisfactory. We chose this hotel because it came... Pros: Newly renovated, clean rooms, nice sized bathroom. Two blocks from Vittorio Emanuele Metro stop on Metro A line, which is only 1 stop from Termini train station, Rome's main train station. Cons: Neighborhood seems a little sketchy, especially late at night, but we never had any problems. Not near any main attractions, but the hotel is so close to... More

The 2 star hotel is underrated. The breakfast was good, I love bread n butter, soft cheese ,jams ,other toppings. Breakfast lady could smile more, be more attentive to her non-favorite guests. Arvin @ desk is a pure joy... directions, restaurants, and impeccable customer service. I work for Marriott, would clone him! Rooms are clean, everything we needed in a... More

Our room was available for check in when we arrived at 1 PM. Room was in the building next door to the reception desk. If possible leave your luggage downstairs until you confirm where your room is, no elevator to the lobby and your room may be in the next building. An employee showed us to our room, handled our... Nice small hotel, very well located, simple but good. Try to get a calm room, because there is a little noise in the street in front. The beds are very comfortable and nice staff can help you telling where to go.

The honest review: We ended up walking to the hotel from the train station. Although the distance was doable, the roads and sidewalks were not good to our luggage. It was a bit much after a long flight. Check in is upstairs. No elevator. wifi was extra. air conditioning was extra. Wasn't too happy about that. We booked two rooms... More

This is a budget hotel close to the train/metro station. We would give 3 stars instead of the 2 it was advertised. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the towels were great. You had to be buzzed in to get to the room, which made it feel a little... More

Very close to Termini and about a 20 min walk to the Colesseum with a Major Metro station and great coffee shop about 5-10 min walk down Manzoni. The front desk staff was super friendly. We had to pay 5 euro per night for air-conditioning and there is no elevator so be prepared to bring your luggage up a few... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
