Don't try and walk from the station, even though Via Giolitti runs alongside it on the map. This is a clean and pleasant hotel within walking distance of tram and metro services, a perfectly acceptable base from which to explore the city. It is affordable in price, well maintained and comfortable. We were there for 3 nights and do not... More

This is the worst hotel ever, no air con, our money got stolen from our locked bags by room service, tiny room and the bed was as hard as a rock. The management didn't care a bit... I remember this hotel because it's the one you remember for the wrong reasons

A very generous 3. It took me 2-3hrs to get to sleep on my first night due to loud music and people banging on doors, staff ignored this! Cleaning staff worked hard and some of staff very friendly. Split into different buildings so separated from friends.

The hotel is perfectly good if you want to get away with an affordable price and have a minimum of comfort. Advantages: - close to Termini train station and within walking distance from the Colosseum area; tram no. 3 from Porta Maggiore will take you directly to the Colosseum and other points of interest (e.g. metro Pyramide, from where you... The rooms are tiny, they don't smell good, the beds are impossible to sleep well on, the shower was dirty, they didn't replace the loo paper even after 4 days, the breakfast was just dry bread and strange cereal and the Wifi didn't work. The neighbourhood was seedy. I was part of a group and several rooms were broken into... More

We stayed at the Tempio di Pallade for about a week with a group of 30 people. We were housed in a separate building in a street nearby, which was okay, since we didn't have to walk far for breakfast. Breakfast was not the best... The rooms were very full (six beds in a room I would usually expect two... More

The beds are like bricks (absolutely no exaggeration on this point), the staff are unhelpful and not concerned if there is a problem. In our room our bidet also left green slimy leakage all over our bathroom floor..... Oh and the location, although it boasts it is close to the main train station, does not mention - the horrible neighbourhood.... More

I have been in this hotel during the concert of Vasco Rossi in Rome with friends. The stuff was gently, the structure is not new, the rooms are little bit small, but considering that is a 3 stars hotel i think that stay was very good. I didnt experience any failure or unplesant event. It is very close to center,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
