We stayed here for 4 nights early May 2015 and returned for another night after a short trip. We loved staying at this hotel - the staff are very friendly and helpful and have a great sense of humour. It all feels quite relaxed (without all the common dramas you might see elsewhere) and you know you will have a... More

My four day trip to Rome was extremely satisfying thank to this old but gold hotel! The location was definitely the best part; Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Doria Pamphilj gallery and many more must see sights resided within a walking distance... Not to mention the great restaurants all over the place! Also there was a handy supermarket just across the street.... More

Just returned from the Residenza Antica Roma and much to my surprise, this hotel was definitely NOT a 4* hotel. The rooms ALL smelled musty. There were dust bunnies under every bed. We had 4 rooms and each of us were terribly disappointed. The A/C worked only OK in some rooms and the others the temperature was FRIGID. There is... More

I loved this hotel, it is an old building, built in 1594, but the way that it is presented is magnificent. It has a small reception area, all the staff are so helpful and genuine, we felt welcome the moment that we arrived. Our room was decorated in an old style, with a comfortable bed, table and chairs, a safe,... More

clean, small (even the elevator fits only one person with 2 suit cases), a little tacky decor. but who is looking? when you get back at night after 16 hours walking all over rome (the hotel is placed right in the center of it all everything is in walking distance if you are in good shape) all you need is... Lovely hotel, good size rooms and bathroom. But the breakfast is not fantastic and if you book anything through the hotel make sure to to follow up or check that they make the booking. Otherwise a very good hotel in a great spot close to the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain

The best things about this little hotel/B&B are the close, proximity to all the areas that tourists are looking for and the next is that the front office staff and extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very average but at least ours was quiet IF you leave the windows closed. There is an A/C in the rooms as... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May. We lost the 4th becasue we were trying to get to Rome on may 7th and the airport was closed because of the fire. They are very helpful and the Italian restaurant, located around the corner in the alley, which was said to be the best was infact the best... More

My wife and I stayed here then beginning of may 2015. Wow built in the 1500's. Very nicely furnished (a bit too fru-fru for my personal taste but added to the charm and my wife liked it). The staff was excellent, helpful and always available. We walked to the Colosseum, back from St Peter's Square, all over central Rome and... More

Wonderful 4 night stay. Staff were helpful and informative. Metro close by and supermarket . Short walk to Trevi fountain and other landmarks. Travelled with our 14 year old daughter and fitted quite comfortable in the room.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
