A truly beautiful hotel. Room was fantastic and in a perfect location for seeing ALL the sights. The big bed was comfortable, bathroom, although not huge, was delightful. Breakfast was delicious and with a great choice. The reception staff were all very polite and helpful. Can't wait yo go back!!!!!!!!!

Nice hotel - residence. Located on busy street, but double windows help to prevent noise. Good breakfast. Especially if you like sweets in the morning. Correct personal. Reception open 24hours. Nothing to complain considering the quality of Italian hotels this one it is very good. Some small maintenance jobs in the toilet and a bit nicer quality of bed linen... More

The best part of this hotel was the location! Centrally located in Rome, all the major sites were easily accessible from the hotel, the Spanish Steps were only a 5-10 minute walk away. We went there over Thanksgiving and the place was nicely decorated for Christmas. We really enjoyed the extra ambiance it added. I did not care for the... More

We were looking for a cheap hotel in the center of Rome. It was clean. The hotel is a little bit gaudy. Warm room and clean bathroom. The people were nice all the time. The worst things: The breakfast is awfull And bad views. I would came back.

I have been to Rome a few times and Residenza Antica has become my favorite hotel in this city. It's mid-range price is unbeatable for the value you're getting. Location cannot be any better. Walking distance to Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona going one direction; the Spanish Steps and fashionable Via Condotti headed the other way. Piazza Barberini... More

Excellent location! The hotel is in Via del Tritone (very close to Piazza Barberini in which there is a Metro stop - 1 min on foot) and very close to Fontana di Trevi (5 min on foot) and the Spanish Steps (5 min on foot). You can use the Metro to go in any place you want or if you... More

We stayed in the Residenza Antica Roma for one night after we had finished our Mediterranean cruise, summer of 2015. We found that we loved the location. We were a block's walk to the nearest Metro station and for those who are nominally fit, an easy walk to many of sights, sounds, and tastes of Roma. The breakfast was good,... More

Stayed here with my family of 6. The hotel buffet is very good & a lovely atmosphere. To me it would be better suited to couples or with one teenager. Probably wouldn't recommend with young children, my youngest is 6 & I have teenagers but there is not much at the hotel for them to do. The hotel is quaint... More

From the moment we walked into this hotel we were very impressed with the customer service. The gentleman who greeted us was loveley, gave us heaps of information on rome and provided us with a map and even upgraded out room from from a standard room to a classic one so we had a nice little balcony area that was... We had an enjoyable stay. Staff was helpful! Loved their recommendation for Risortante Albino around the corner. Delicous! Helpful to have the breakfast buffet and they put up a nice spread in a nice sunny dining spot.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
