+ Central and strategic location, convenient for hiking access to many attractions. Clean and well furnished rooms. Comfortable bathroom. Rome at this price is more than acceptable - Small rooms but enough for night (we are still in the Eternal City and not in hotel) Not very friendly staff, very poor breakfast (but they say is the classic Italian breakfast,... Stayed here in Jan 2015. Hotel was clean, and room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a very welcome addition. Ask for room 222 if you get the chance. It has a little balcony overlooking the busy street and is the perfect place to sit with a beer or some wine.

This hotel is in such a convenient spot in Rome - close to the main station and easy walking distance to all the main attractions. The colosseum and pantheon are just near by. You can catch the metro to the Vatican for €1.50 from the main station. The hotel staff are very helpful and always welcoming. Can't comment on the... More

If you're looking for a medium range, clean and comfortable, quiet central hotel in Rome, I recommend The Flower Garden in via Vimibale, 5 minutes walk from Termini Station and all Rome's buses. The staff are so warm and welcoming, ready to help with any questions or arrangements. Check it out!

As we arrived and departed from Termini we wanted a hotel in the area, and this one is 5' walk. We were somewhat aprehensive due to the cheap rates (USD50/night) but there were no bad reviews. Friendly reception in an European (read small/old) building, refurbished to modern standards. Don't expect fancy, but it was ultra clean (and I'm a freak),... More

We had a bad experience with this hotel. We booked online and when we were checking in we were asked that due to a mistake from the hotel staff we were allocated a room where we should have booked a bigger room or two rooms . We ended up paying too much money for a horrible room and on the... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and found it very good value for money. As other reviewers have commented, it is very well situated in the centre of the city, and we had no problem walking to and from Termini station, with a significant amount of luggage. The room was quite small, but perfectly adequate for our purposes.... More

Very Close to Termini station, only 5 to 10 minutes walk. where you will find also all Hip hop buses for city tours. Some of the attractions are close too. The Hotel is 3 Stars normal hotel, staff are nice. WiFI and Breakfast were poor.

The hotel is walking distance from everything in Rome and close to the station (although I think something closer to the Spanish steps is more central). You can also arrange with the hotel to pay €39 for transfer from the airport. The hotel itself does not have the most welcoming staff, as we were just given a key (with an... More

Perfect location - near Roma Termini train station and close to the Colloseum and other touristic places. Small, but clean and well furnished rooms. And the service was good. Sound-proof windows even though it is a busy area

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
