We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 53 (Cinquantatre). It is in a prime spot near the Barberini Metro stop and main attractions. We stayed for over a week and did not have any complaints. Breakfast was the traditional buffet and included (bread, cheese, croissants, cappuccino, expresso, fruit, etc). Our room was tiny but perfect for crashing at night. When we... More

This hotel is simply delightful. The rooms are clean and furnished well. This is a small hotel but ideal for a stay in Rome. The staff are v friendly and can't help you enough. 10 mins walk from the trevi fountain and well located for bus an metro points. Coffee is so good, although breakfast is limited in choice there's... More

This is a truly family run hotel. The breakfast is simple, a few cereals, croissants, pastries, toast, juices, milk, teas, coffees, etc. They did have an espresso machine so you could have a latte, cappuccino, etc in the morning. The balcony off the breakfast room was a great place to enjoy breakfast. The room size was small to American standards,... More

When arriving to the hotel there was a minor problem. A one night booking at an nearby located hotel had been made for us to get the problem solved. When arriving back the next day everything was taken care of and we got a really nice room. The staff was helpful in all ways possible and I will sure stay... More

My sister and I visited Rome and stayed at Hotel Cinquantatre for 3 nights, from 10th-13th March. This appeared to be the perfect time to visit the city as it was quieter than the rest of the year. We opted to get a coach from CIA airport to the termini and then walked from the termini to the hotel which... More

Went midweek for 2 nights for birthday treat . Booked this hotel for value and location. There are 3 rooms on each of the 5 floors with the breakfast area / veranda on top floor. Lift wasn't working and it was a struggle to climb stairs with luggage . If your not very mobile the stairs will be a challenge... More

Great location for tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants and cafés in the area. Small hotel with limited facilities but very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Shower door fell off during our stay but staff went out of their way to fix it despite the fact we were leaving the next day.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my boyfriend in August 2013. Was perfect for a holiday in Rome. Definitely a bargain! The location is amazing, down the road is Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps. We walked the whole of Rome in 5 days and saw everything. Breakfast isn't amazing but it's good enough. Coffee is lovely. And there's fresh... More

Very good quality / price ratio for the area in which it is located. Everyone is friendly and the breakfast is normal. The rooms are comfortable enough and so is the equipment "technological". I would recommend it to a friend.

We stayed at Hotel Cinquantatre for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - always giving great advice on what was the best way to do what we wanted to do. Location of the hotel is excellent - close to public transport and all the main attractions. Room (ours had a balcony)... More
