After booking this hotel I was very sceptical after reading the reviews. The rooms were clean, it was a very small hotel and had a lot of leaks in the corridors after it had rained. Some of the staff did not speak very good english but others were very helpful. All in all it was a cosy and comfortable room... More

well, it could be better, it's too far by foot from roma termini, my room was in the worst location possible, next to the common area, the hotel is used by the schools to visit the city, so the noise was to much late at night and early in the morning and the manegement didn't care, after a day of... Clean and good value. If walking from the station footpath is uneven and you have to walk through an area that feels unsafe. Breakfast is good, the usual Italian breakfast. Quite a walk to the station. Good points overall, but for singles a little unsafe.

was planned to stay the night to go to the colosseum in the morning. Spent the night before at the hotel next door. Was booked so stayed here. Got robbed at the colosseum so had to get a police report once we got back to the hotel it was 11ish. No clothes so just wanted to sleep and get back... More

Me and my girlfriend visited Rome beginning of June and stayed at Hotel Center 2 for a week. The conditions are average, you get more or less what you pay for, but the hotel is relatively close to Termini station. The breakfast is ok, it gets you going for about 3-4 h (depending on how much you eat :) )... More

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed. NOT clean, broken shower, very rude guy at the reception (but on diffrent shift there was a nice girl). Very noisy at night, poor breakfast. Not centrally located, but the metro is close (10 minutes walk). NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

very nice place, clean,a little too noisy, good breakfast, no free WiFi, at walking distance to all historical places, abt 20 min walking to termini station and 15 min to Coloseum, you have on the neighborhood (on the corner very nice and cheap restaurants were you canenjoy sea food or Italian cuisine.

No free internet (10 EUR), tiny room, unclean, rude guy at the reception.. But the most amazing, is that remote control from the tv they give you at reception... On my question why that, the guy told me... Not why. Just take it... Unbelievably rude... Nothing else to say... It's not 3*... Even not 2* ... My travel agency booked... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
