was planned to stay the night to go to the colosseum in the morning. Spent the night before at the hotel next door. Was booked so stayed here. Got robbed at the colosseum so had to get a police report once we got back to the hotel it was 11ish. No clothes so just wanted to sleep and get back... More

Me and my girlfriend visited Rome beginning of June and stayed at Hotel Center 2 for a week. The conditions are average, you get more or less what you pay for, but the hotel is relatively close to Termini station. The breakfast is ok, it gets you going for about 3-4 h (depending on how much you eat :) )... More

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed. NOT clean, broken shower, very rude guy at the reception (but on diffrent shift there was a nice girl). Very noisy at night, poor breakfast. Not centrally located, but the metro is close (10 minutes walk). NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

very nice place, clean,a little too noisy, good breakfast, no free WiFi, at walking distance to all historical places, abt 20 min walking to termini station and 15 min to Coloseum, you have on the neighborhood (on the corner very nice and cheap restaurants were you canenjoy sea food or Italian cuisine.

No free internet (10 EUR), tiny room, unclean, rude guy at the reception.. But the most amazing, is that remote control from the tv they give you at reception... On my question why that, the guy told me... Not why. Just take it... Unbelievably rude... Nothing else to say... It's not 3*... Even not 2* ... My travel agency booked... More

Rooms were clean but the beds were terribly uncomfortable. Camp beds in a frame. (were broken from the start). Staff on the reception helpful. Very noisy in hotel at night and early morning. Our room was at the entrance where people use to stand outside to smoke, so could not have the window open. Should have taken more notice of... More

I really had an extraordinarily nice school trip to Rome. But the hotel was horrible. People there spoke English and almost everyday new towels. But the beds were small; small showercabine; mold in the minibar; mold at some other places in the bathroom; leaking toilet that couldn't stop flushing, so we just threw our towels behind the toilet; flushing knob... I was booked this hotel as a surprise holiday for 7 nights with my husband. We spent one nignt there and then moved the next day. The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful and did not speak english well at all. The room was clean but very small. We had a shuttered window so no daylight and a tram outside... More

We are two ladies in their 60s and we stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Center 2. We were very satisfied, the location was good, two metro stations pretty close to the hotel. It took some 15 minutes to walk to the Termini station with luggage. The hotel room was simple but clean. The towels were changed every day. The... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
