This hotel was luxurious and we loved staying here. Obviously the prices in the restaurants are high for food and drinks but the quality made it worth it. The concierge was able to provide us with everything thing we needed and answered all of our questions. Our only complaint was the terrace was not open and would not open until... More

Excellent luxurious place to stay. Rooms are very nice and service is outstanding. You are not in the heart of the tourist area but only 10 min walking away (we like that.). If you are ok to spend the money you'll be happy here. Breakfast is delicious and the bar serves excellent drinks as well.

An Roman palace set in a neo-classic architectural compound near the Termini train station. It's in a buzy piazza that has one of those stylish fountains in the middle. The Termini train station links directly and non-stop to the Fiumicino airport. The busy piazza della Repubblica has taxis, and you can hop on or off an open-tour tourist bus at... More

We were travelling with an infant and we had the best time in Rome staying at this Hotel. Staff is very good and kid friendly. Concierge service is EXCELLENT (Stephania is EXCELLENT). Room service and Bell boys are great too. We stored our luggage in Cloak Room and they were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent every day (excellent staff) great... More

We stayed at the hotel in early April and could not have been happier! This hotel was beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. Every detail was understated excellence. However, the reason that I am giving this hotel a great review is because of the staff. Their attentiveness and willing to help was outstanding. The concierge desk was went out of their... More

If distance to the ruins, etc. is a primary concern, then this might not be for you as it's about a 20 minute walk just to get down to the outer areas of those, but if you just want a great experience and a fantastic stay, this is a top choice. Near the train station, it also has a couple... More

This Marriott Autograph Collection hotel is a Five Star for sure. The location is perfect and in easy walking or short taxi to ALL the top Roman sites. What makes this hotel exceptional however is the staff because they are ALL eager to please and really very knowledgable about their city and how to make your stay memorable ! From... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early April of 2015. We are Platinum members so they upgraded the room which was spacious and clean. We didn't pay attention to the accessories like the mini bar but did notice there is no coffee machine in the room. The staff was very attentive to our needs and graciously helped... More

What a great stay!! It was on the 25th of April, Italy's Independence Day, and the city was full of people so I expected that the fact that we were on our honeymoon and it was my husband's birthday would be forgotten, but it was not! After arriving at our palacial room (they are massive and elegantly decorated) we had... More

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The Boscolo Exedra was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during my two week honeymoon in Italy. It also had the smallest and dirtiest room of my trip and the least attentive staff. There were carpet stains and tears all over my room. I had a nice view of a wall. There is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
