We stayed for week, entire holiday including flights, transfers, hotel etc cost £270 pp. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Location is right on the 64 bus route which gets you most places. Termini (the main bus station) is a 5min walk, free maps at the hotel. A weeks bus ticket for all of Rome 24€ and... More

Stayed with my sister on a girls holiday this was a great base. The staff are lovely and friendly helpful too here you get what you pay for it's basic but with free wifi a fantastic location a hot shower and a clean room you couldn't ask for more. The only thing that would have been good would be a... More

Good location - points for that. Small breakfast ( croissant and cafe ) served some cafe near. If you travel for a small budget, and don't need anything special, just a bed to sleep -> this is for you.

the location is good, the rooms were old, cold and dirty. one morning there was no warm water. even no wifi in the hotel. There was a kitchen next to our room which was very dirty, the door to the balcony was not closeable so that it was extremly cold inside.

I was robbed qdo. I left my bag at the front desk after check-out. One of the front pockets were cut with scalpel, leaving visible traces. The only good thing is the location. Everything is extremely small. Coffee is a Buteco outside the hotel (01 01 small croissant and coffee).

the location is the best thing you can say about the hotel. close to the metro station and in a nice quite area. the hotel itself should be avoided. in fact the hotel consists of few rooms located at the 4th floor of an old and scary building. the elevator starts at 1st floor and it is the slowest i... I was more or less satisfied with my stay in Nazional rooms.Via Nazionale. Roma. The price was right, the location was ideal. Some things need attention to detail, although once mentioned they were put right. Breakfast is once again served in a nearby bar.

The location of this hotel is the big draw. Located in safe and relatively quite section of the city next to the National Parliament building, you are just a few minutes walk from the Parthenon. There are so many good places to eat near by, but we found that Angelito's was in a class of it's own and this was... More

This hotel was a disaster to begin with. Once inside the room we find out that our double bed was just 2 single beds out together. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in. The rooms were very small and for the price of 250 euros a night, it was not worth it at all. The staff at the desk was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
