As others have said, this is a great hotel which is let down by its staff. The hotel itself is great. It is relatively cheap for Rome, and while it is not as luxurious as other hotels, it is definitely worth its price. Good points include clean room and bathroom, air conditioning, TV, security safe and reasonable amount of space,... more

We stayed at Baltic three days and at first when we checked in they took us walking to a nearby building around the corner, when you entered you feel like (because of the appearance, under repairs) getting into a third world neighborhood, but when you go upstairs to the rooms they are extremely clean, like new. They have air conditioning,... more

The hotel is at the top end of 20 Septembre near the Porta Pia and is easy enough to find as there is a sign opposite the hotel. The staff are either polite or just plain ignorant depending who is on duty. One of the guys on reception (glasses, balding, 50ish) was totally uninterested when we complained about something going... more

This hotel provides the basic needs of a traveler in my opinion. It was clean, it had a descent bed, a television, a desk and a safe inside a closet for my room. Now of course, the room was noisy because the location of my room was right next to the entryway. The location of the hotel itself was a... more

I have just returned from a 4 day trip to Roma, fantastic City but disappointing hotel. We booked a room for 3 (no 25) which consisted of a big double bed and a pull out single bed. I suppose this would have sufficed had the bathroom not stank after a hot day and getting a decent nights sleep due to... more

My travel companion and I checked in at the desk and were told we were actually in another building. The room size was comparable by European standards. The bathroom was small and the shower drain tended to be slow so the water was around the ankles during bathing. The neighborhood is pretty seedy, especially at night, but was about a... more

Stayed at the Baltic for a week in Room 103 - was in the new part and the room was well decorated and very clean - the room was split into half so the bathroom was a v reasonable space and also v clean - but the room itself was v small with only a small space between the bed... more

We booked to stay for 1 night in October (and on the surface we would probably say that it's good enough for a one night stop-over) however, we got lost walking to the hotel from the station when we arrived in Rome (totally our own fault). We were carrying some big bags as we were passing through on a holiday... more

We stayed in this Hotel in Nov 2007 for a short break. it was much better than we expected - the room was spacious and modern and the location was great being practically in the centre. Everything was really easy to find from the Hotel and it was not noisy at al. The staff were very helpful and friendly and... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Hotel Baltic. I appreciate that Rome is expensive but for £80 a room per night I would like to be able to sleep!! Firstly the hotel is based within an apartment block, so no proper front reception desk, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from... more
