Simone was super helpful. He and his wife made us feel welcome even if we stayed over the holidays (and had to leave on Christmas day). Simone was quick to offer travel tips and was available to answer questions. He even gave us a cake as a parting gift! The rooms were big and clean. (We got the triple sharing... More

Got back yesterday from a 3 day Rome stay. Old Kitchen was an excellent place from which to visit all the main tourist attractions. Get the Omnia 3 day papass gss as you jump all the queues and it includes entry into Vatican Museum and Sistene Chapel, St Peters Basilica, The Colliseum, hop on and off tour bus and metro... More

We stayed at the Old Kitchen B&B as we wanted to visit the Vatican and other places in Rome. Ideally situated to walk to the Vatican, the Metro is nearby with easy access to the rest of Rome! Aneta and Simone go 'the extra mile' to make their guests feel welcome. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with all... More

As written above, utterly amazing roman experience. The owners do a great job welcoming their guests- after 20 minutes we knew everything about the buses, tube and restaurants worth checking out. The room is very clean and neat, air conditioning works even if you're out, which is a huge plus. The equipment of the kitchen is free to use 24/7(fridge... More

This was a little gem. The place is clean and situated in a great location to see all touristy things. We had the bedroom with the external bathroom which worked out better for us as we had a 9 month old. It meant we could sit in the communal kitchen and have a shower with out disturbing our sleeping baby.... More

Simone is a great host that does a good job welcoming and giving all the needed info including good tips on where to eat. The property location is right near the subway and some minutes walking from the Vatican and not very far from the city center. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The interior is redesigned... More

I had a great time at Simone and Annette's b&b. The facility is so conveniently located, just a couple of minutes from St. Peter's, the Vatican Museum, and the subway line. The place is VERY clean and comfortable, the beds are nice and the headboards very soft. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, with a wide selection of stuff, and a... More

5 nights stayed in older kitchen when we were in Rome. Convenience location(7 minutes walking distance to St. Peter, Vatican 3 minutes to Line A metro station and bus stops), this B&B sets in security locked residential building block, in 4th level with lift, it's safe, quiet, clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Wonderful owner Simone has years of tourist... More

Been there two years on the trot - the little place is ideal for getting to all the touristy bits of Rome. 5 minutes to St Peters square and less than 2 minutes from the tube station Nicole and Simone are brilliant - can't give them a higher praise. The Kitchen is value for money and spotless - the bedroom... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
