Marco Polo is a very nice hotel, and perfectly situated! You have to search a little, but you get a lot. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. When we arrived at the hotel, the guy working behing the desk was very helpful. He explained all the different transport options, and what places are fun and interesting to visit. Overall... More

The hotel was 3 minutes walking from Termini Station which is perfect. The room was excellent and good enough for two persons. Also the guy from the desk helped us very well and was really nice! Definitely worth a stay for family, friends etc.

We had a great stay at the Marco Polo hotel, the staff was very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. The room was very clean and spacious, even with 4 of us staying there. Another great advantage is that the hotel is really close (less than 5 min walk) to the Roma Termini train/bus station. I would definitely come... More

The Marco Polo chain in Rome has a hotel one block from the train station, Termini, so the hotel is very convenient to catch a train to the airport. The hop on, hop off sight seeing bus tour starts there, also. Marco Polo is clean, safe, quiet, offers breakfast, 2 pm check in, ( I arrived quite early and they... More

Clean immaculate room new bed sheets. Very helpful to all requests. Dont be put off by quirky lift (3 people only and small ones at that!) Lots of decent restaurants in area if you shop around. Decent continental breakfast and good coffee machine.

Super lousy hotel which is at the 3rd level with a small lift. Do not allow early check-in and can only strictly check in at 2pm. The bedsheets was not changed and have terrible men smell. The reception staffs are not friendly and helpful and the room is very small.

Dear Mrs Chomel C. , we take in serious consideration any positive or negative reviews from our guests but this is not the case. We can't understand what gave you such a false impression. It is just near Roma Termini and located in 3rd floor in via magenta. Had a three days relaxing stay. Rooms are neat. Easy checkin n checkout. Many restaurants ideal for Indians nearby. Hotel is full all time so an advance booking is necessary.

Hotel is perfectly located near Termini Station(3mins walk). Accessible to everything- tourists' spots, souvenir shops, restaurants and bars (almost 24hrs). First night, we stayed out until 1am, and still, buses are operational to and from the station. Tourist attractions can also be reached by Metro or by walking. Hotel Staffs are friendly and accomodating. They give all the information that... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
