Really well located for Termini station and the airports. Just 1/2 block from subway entrance. We stayed on the 3rd floor at the side of the building. External noise was minimal and we barely had to wait for the lift. Friendly staff, efficient and helpful. They found for us a nearby really good old fashioned diner but there are so... More

I stayed in Hotel Marco Polo with my friends for 3 nights in October and it was a perfect solution for us. Really great value for good price. First of all, the location was very convenient, great for visiting the city and also easy to reach from the airport. The subway, buses and airport shuttle are just one step away,... More

The room was clean, friendly people at the reception but it is small - only a bed and a stood. the pictures in the hotel's website don't really represent the actual size of the rooms. It was very noisy during the night and early morning when they prepare the breakfast buffet. The buffet had bread, croissant, cereals and coffee (from... More

I had an infiltration in the bathroom, so I had to change to another hotel, but I only got to know it at night, so I could not take a shower at night in my room. The other hotel that they put me in was worse (Philia), and it seemed to me that other people were being directed to this... More

We didn't have the pleasure to sleep in this hotel, despite the fact that we book 3 nights. They actually put us in some random hotel (10mins walk), pleading that they had some issue with the shower... they just do surbooking. It's very annoying and unprofessional. Don't go there!

My father and I have stayed at the Marco Polo three times over the last four years. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean, and the location ideal. Lorenzo and Francesco remember us on out trips, and are very accommodating, offering us a coffee from the espresso machine behind the bar upon our arrival. Even though the location seems... More

The hotel is nearby the central station "Termini", about 2 minutes walk. We parked our car in the garage at the end of the street. This is paid with security. The hotel staff was helpful and very friendly, especially Francesco. We had a family room which was very clean and big enough for us, 2 adults and our 3 children... More

Situated on the 3rd floor of a very old building, not a nice area, we were told that the area is a gathering place for refugees, the elevator is an old fashioned wire cage type, the bathroom was dirty with black milddew in the shower -shower not working, view from the bedroom is a disgrace, looking into a filthy area(... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
