The Locanda Colosseo is a truly lovely Bed & Breakfast, clean, welcoming and ideally placed in Rome. I took my Mother on a surprise trip for her birthday and we have enjoyed every moment. The B&B is an easy 15 minute walk from the main train station (Termini) and 10 minutes from the Colosseo (where all the major sightseeing tour... More

This is by far the worst place that I have slept at since I was in the Navy, 40 years ago. My wife and I showed up to the address staring at a one foot by one foot plaque of the name and street number in back of four large garbage dumpsters. The stench from having garbage in them smelled... More

Dear Dwardrip, thank you very much for your stay with us and for having underlined a couple of our merits like the location and the kindness of our staff. We take always very seriously the critics and we take them as a point to improve our service. However, there is something I would like to say about the critics you... More

Great location ... me and a friend (both mid twenties) stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Walking distance to most main attractions - we walked everywhere! Breakfast is out to a café next door (which was nice and quaint). Room was a good size, new towels and toiletries each day. Had a safe which was handy... More

Me and my two kids (8 and 10) enjoyed the stay here a lot. No problems at all! Friendly, clean, comfortable etc. So thank you, Locanda Colosseo. If and when we come to Rome again, we will check if you have free rooms.

Arrived 8th Feb for a 4 night stay, we had arranged with Ricardo to be collected from the airport & as promised the driver was waiting for us & we were at the hotel in no time at all, from take off in Bristol to arriving at hotel just under 3.5hrs!! Check in was fast & friendly, young lady on... More

Surgically clean comfortable pretty rooms filled with everything you might need for a great stay. Welcoming friendly and helpful stuff, speaking perfect English. Great location, though it might be tricky to find, as hotel does not have any remarkable signs, so just some attention is needed. WIFI leaves you wishing for the best, as well as breakfast... Anyway great value... More

I found Locando Colosseo while searching online for accomodations. After reading the reviews I booked a stay there for my husband and myself for January 23 and February 4 of 2015..pre and post cruise. We found it to be a delightful place to stay, right in the heart of old Rome with just a short walk to the Colosseum and... More

Found this hotel really good, specially for the price! 245€ for 5 nights really close to the colosseum! Didnt find anything like that for the 5 months I was searching. The hotel is quite small, just 6 rooms I believe, but that is not a problem. As mentioned well located, you can see the colosseum from the road nearby and... More

For first time Rome visitors, it was a bit difficult to find a place to stay that would suit our very busy needs. Location was key and so when I saw Loccanda Colloseo on Hotels.com, I booked it without knowing what I was getting myself into. I am so glad I did. Riccardo took the absolute best care of us... I wasn't sure what I was booking but when we arrived I was thrilled! My husband and I stayed at the beginning of November for 3 nights in the first floor apartment and it was wonderful! The complimentary breakfast was served at the restaurant next door. We were within walking distance to the colosseum and Palantine Hill and the Roman... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
