We (family of four) had a spectacular four day break over New Year 15/ 16 at La Residenza Napoleone (Palazzo Ruspoli). The rooms were magnificent, spacious and beautifully furnished. The Palazzo is centrally located but not noisy. Our stay was made complete by the assistance of Beatrice, the charming and attentive manager of the property.

This unique and amazing 16th century palazzo is a total blast. It is not just an apartment, it's an experience. Just cruising through the cool front entrance off the via condotti makes you feel like royalty! We chose the roof garden apartment for the patio and views. We were not disappointed. The bedroom is spacious. The bed is incredibly comfortable.... More

The rooftop apartment has two bedrooms and two baths and is well appointed. The real attraction is the private terrace. The views are stunning! We bought some wine, meats and cheese and ate dinner overlooking Rome. Thank you for a wonderful time.

My two-night stay at the Residenza Napoleone's Rooftop Garden Apartment was wonderful. The Palazzo Ruspoli is impressive and perfectly located for a short (or long) visit to the Eternal City. The warm, thoughtful service I received from Beatrice and the butler was outstanding. I felt well taken care of and in Beatrice had an indispensable asset; she is truly a... More

We arrived at a very early time to be met by Beatrice, who clearly had to start her day very early too, just for us. We were invited into the main suite, which was free at that time, to freshen up and relax before our roof terrace was ready. Fresh strawberries, orange juice, water, coffee and croissants appeared. This rarely... More

We stayed in the garden apartment, with 2 teenagers. The roof terrace was a delight - breakfast every day in the sunshine with views over the rooftops of Rome. The rooms were beautiful with such lovely and thoughtful attention to detail. The marble stairs up to the apartment are incredible, the local recommended eateries great. We used the sofa bed,... I had not been to Rome for 32 years, and when I was there last I was doing it on the budget of an 18 year old... there were definitely no funds for extravagances. This time I wanted to experience Rome in another way. I found La Residenza Napoleone on several boutique hotel sites... after viewing the images of the... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
