At 300 gbp per night I was expecting something a bit more than I got. OK...we had a suite with a private patio (which had broken plastic furniture by the way). The room was...OK....I have stayed in a suite in Bangkok for 50gbp per night that was ten times better than this (yeah OK Bangkok is a lot cheaper than... More

My husband, 17-year-old daughter, and I just returned from an 11-day tour of Italy with one of the major tour companies. Our group was originally scheduled to stay at the Crowne Plaza but was moved to this hotel because of overbooking. We couldn't have been more pleased. Like so many of the hotels in Italy, this one isn't that impressive... More

My Fiance and I stayed at the Minerva for 3 nights and thought it was the best location to see all of the sites of Rome by walking. We had a great suite on the 6th floor. The roof bar gave a great view of the Pantheon as well as many other sites , though a bit pricey for cocktails.... More

We stayed for two nights here and just loved it. We had searched this site for many many hours and found what we were looking for at tripadvisor. Happily, our choice of hotel was correct. We booked directly with the hotel through its website and had several specific requests about the room, all of which were honoured by the hotel.... More

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful. I saw an earlier review about lack of breakfast but we had breakfast every morning and it was included in our rate. Our room was large and very nice. Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is central to everywhere in Rome. We hired a guide through the hotel. His name is... More

Take your ear plugs if you stay at this hotel on the weekend and end up with a room over the Plazza side. Rome stays up quite late on weekends and people and traffic make noise till 3:00am! We stayed at this hotel two times. The first time we stayed there we had a room that faced the quiet side.... More

The location is perfect, as everyone says--also the rooftop restaurant is to die for (gorgeous view, friendly smooth service, and delicious food), service is courteous, and the lobby is lovely. However, we stayed at a crowded time and had booked through the internet and were quite disappointed with the room itself. Though reasonable in size, it had not been renovated... More

Just returned from Rome 1st May 2005 after a 4 night stay at the Grand Hotel Minerve and it was superb. It was my first visit to Rome and was not sure what to expect of the hotels etc but after seeing what the other hotels had to offer I know I made the right choice. Our first room was... More

We have just returned from a weekend in Rome. We had booked the Minerve for this very special weekend because of the rave reviews but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Well in advance of our arrival we had particularly requested a deluxe room with a view but we were allocated a room overlooking the narrow side street. The hotel... More

The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the backyard of the Pantheon. The rooms were very nice, and the bar and complimentary breakfast were perfect. Our only complaint was the lack of hospitality shown by upper management. We were told by the staff, and had read in the informational booklet that they provided, that the roof garden would... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
