The rooms are definitely small, but on our stay here last week we had two connecting rooms for our family for the price of one room at the Westin. The location is amazing for site seeing--although we wished the metro were closer. Nonetheless we walked everywhere happily. We found the staff to be very helpful and kind (special shout out... More

Having stayed here for a long weekend, I can advise that the lower floor classic rooms can be noisy. However if on a higher floor eg 4 and with the windows closed we experienced no noise. The alternative is to pay an extra 30 euro's a night for a superior room that faces the inner courtyard or gardens.Apart from this,... More

We stayed at Ponte Sisto for 3 nights during an Italy trip for our honeymoon. Our room was beautiful - king size bed, large tub/shower. There is an elevator - after a small set of stairs from the lobby but the porter will take your bags to your room. There is a lovely courtyard/patio with tables and chairs and umbrellas.... More

Stayed 3 nights in the hotel. Clean, functional and very central. All the staff we freindly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely central courtyard and the whole place has a slightly secluded feel to it despite its central location. Our room had a little balcony with pleasant views over the adjacent properties and gardens. Everything you'd expect from a... More

Spent 4 nights while sightseeing in Rome. Good location for walking to Forum, Colosseum, Vatican. Good room (superior) but bed was very firm. Breakfast was very good but, as the restaurant was closed for dinner, we strolled over the Tiber into the Trastevere area where there were plenty of places to eat. The staff were all friendly and helpful. More

We had a big surprise when we arrived at this hotel. I will start by saying that it has an excellent location. We were able to walk to all Roman attractions (museums, pantheon, Piazza Navona, St.Peters etc.) We were across the Ponte Sisto bridge that leads to Trastevere that provided a big selection of places to dine and wine. This is a charming hotel, very well-located across the Tiber from Trastevere. My room (#302) which looked out on the courtyard was very quiet. During the warmer months, this room might catch some noise from the outdoor diners. The room size was quite adequate as I was traveling alone - some might find it a tight squeeze for two. The... I really wanted to love this hotel, but I just didn't. My family loves to travel and I don't think that we have unreasonable expectations. We have stayed in quite a few other 4 star, smaller-sized hotels that really shined. Pros: clean room with up-to-date bathroom; quiet; good location; nice breakfast. Cons: room the size of a closet with the... More

My husband and I just finished a four night stay at Hotel Ponte Sisto (booked through Gate 1 Travel) and were just thrilled with the accomodations at this smaller, almost unassuming property. First, the staff was great. I didn't encounter any rudeness or unwillingness to help us at any time like some other reviews described. We arrived very early for... More

I lived in Rome for five years and know the city well. Now when I travel there for work I generally stay at the Hotel Ponte Sisto. The location is the best in the city in my opinion. It's right across the Tiber from Trastevere -- my old neighborhood -- and it's a stone's throw from Campo de Fiori. You... More
