Well the manager's photo's on TripAdvisor are lovely arent, they.....lovely sparkling bathroom, beautiful views across rome from the window, etc. Our room was on the ground floor and we didn't.t see a bit of sunlight in it the whole time we were there because our window directly face a Wall which was the entire height of the hotel. We could not... More

The location is great if you are looking to be near many of the great Rome sites. The area can be loud at night, however it's Rome, lots of places will be even louder. The bed is honestly the hardest thing we have ever slept on, it was a pad on wood, if you are anything like us you will... More

This hotel is in a great neighborhood with very good restaurants and gelato shop close. The staff is very quick to help arrange any tour or provide directions. While the rooms were small the location and price made up for it. There is a great room top terrace, while it doesn't offer any views it does offer a nice place... More

This hotel is well located, close to amazing restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again. My suite was spacious. I had a small problem booking travel, and inadvertently chose incorrect dates for my visit. The hotel owner ensured that I was taken care of properly so that I had a place to stay. Amazing customer service. Well beyond... More

I was given a 1st floor room and from the moment I opened the door I knew I couldn't stay there. It was like a prison. It was just tiny room with a hard sofa bed and an even tinier bathroom which was damp and mouldy. It was all white and the window was boarded up. When I opened it... More

We stayed with our two young kids in a 1-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor for a week over New Year's and it was a very relaxing vacation. The location was the best part about Leonina - midway between the Colosseum and Termini. We made breakfast with groceries from the Elite shop on Via Cavour, and got dinners takeaway from... More

Stayed here 3 days, location was more important to us more than anything, literally bang in the middle of all the tourist attractions which is what we wanted, when we checked in we had to pay something called 'city tax' which i knew nothing about which was 16 euros. lifts are absolutely tiny, im a big guy and just about... My first stay in Rome and picked residenza leonina as we planned on cooking during our stay and we got quite a big room. Location is fantastic as it was near to cavour station just one stop away from termini station. Attractions are all within a walking distance (colosseum, trevi, piazza navona, pantheon, roman forum, trastevere and many many more)... More

The reason this place gets 4 rather than 3 stars is it's location, and for that reason we would probably stay again if we were heading back to Rome. It's within easy walking distance of the Colosseum and forum, and is 2 minutes from a Metro station if you want to get further afield. It's also a local area with... More

Good points-Nice rooms, centrally located, friendly staff. Negative points-after 6pm till 8 am nobody is available. If someone is coming in this time please get the gate code or else you would be standing outside.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
