arrived at hotel and we were given a room upgrade to a lovely spacious room on the third floor, later we went up on the roof terrace and enjoyed a glass of wine in the sunshine, lots of nice places to eat in the area around the hotel, only drawback to this hotel is the location although we did use the... I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend in September. The hotel was in walking distance to all the main sights but nicely located in a more quiet part of the city with lots of back street restaurants mainly used by the locals. This made our stay feel more authentic, more 'Italian', which we loved. The hotel itself was wonderful,... More

Nice looking hotel on the north-east side of Rome (outside the city wall, cab rides to the centre cost about 10 euros) but there were a few issues which made our single-night stay disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the (non-smoking) room smelled of smoke, and the toilet flush was broken (though this was fixed promptly). The front desk was disorganised,... More

Booked as a package with jet 2 as was cheaper doing it this way than booking hotel and flights, what an excellent choice. Stayed mid April for 4 nights, contacted the hotel prior to arrival re private car transfer from airport which they arranged costing 55E (lovely Mercedes with driver holding up name card in arrivals lounge) and type of... I had visited this area before which is not too far from the sites and has the wonderful Borghese gardens close by. The staff were extremely helpful and had replied promptly to questions I had before our trip. They arranged for a private car to pick us up from Fiumcino airport for 55 euro, as there were 3 of us... I really loved staying at this hotel. The decor is beautiful, the staff are really friendly and the cost was very reasonable. The continental breakfast is also very nice and the roof terrance is a lovely spot. The only (small) downside is the location. It is a 20 minute walk from the city centre but I would still highly recommend... More

From the beginning we were greeted with a smile! The concierge gave us a map to help is navigate through the city. It was a little far from the main areas of attraction but seriously why would you NOT want to walk and explore ever nook and cranny in Rome! It's filled with history and beauty! They spoke some English... More

Overall, the hotel is quite good. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have and excellent finishing. Employess are friendly and helpful. Nonetheless, the hotel is a bit far from most of the main attractions of the city. If you spend the day walking around and ends up enjoying a bottle of wine in one of the nice cafes or bars in... My husband and I took a delayed honeymoon for our One Year Anniversary. We traveled to three cities in Rome and booked through a travel-agency style website, which hooked us up with Fiume Hotel based on our price range. We were expecting a basic spot in a cheaper neighborhood. What we got was a chic style boutique hotel in a... More

I spent a lot of time reading reviews before landing on this hotel. I was apprehensive to book it but I am really happy that we did. We did a long weekend in Rome for my boyfriend's birthday and due to a late arrival time booked our first night at a hotel right by Termini and then changed to Fiume... More
