Just had an enjoyable 4 night stay at this Hotel. Location is excellent for all sight seeing around Rome city centre. Staff were friendly & helpful, rooms were quiet, clean & very comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, it was limited in choice, but nevertheless enjoyable, and the coffee was the best we have ever tasted! The Hotel is very traditional... More

How can I start? Well, my girlfriend and I found this hotel and had no complaints. This was the first leg during our Italian getaway in Summer 2013 (winding up in Venice). The staff were friendly and accomodating. The room had a canopy bed, which she loved. There was a balcony that gave you a view of the area. The... More

Would not recommend or stay here again.. Reception located on 2nd floor, have to climb creepy deserted dimly lit stairs to access hotel. Reception area smells of body odour. The rooms very depressing. We stayed in room 102 and asked to change but the alternative was just as bad so we stayed in 102. No kettle, no cups, no water,... More

We confirm that our Hotel is located in Rome City Centre just 5 min walking distance to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. To access the second floor it is publicized and specified everywhere. We also have Jasmine reed diffusers at the Reception. There are no kettles or iron in the rooms for safety reasons but we have a bar... More

Excellent, small family hotel, ideally situated in central Rome close to the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Palazzo Barberini etc. Friendly, service-minded staff. Nice breakfast. Only drawback was the bathroom which was too smal for two persons. Reasonable rates.

Small family run hotel. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location near to the Spanish Steps and other attractions within easy walking distance. Good value for money. Recommended.

Rooms were nice and the staff were very friendly. The location was great, being close to the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. Breakfast ok, we soon learned it was the norm for Italy. Clean and enough room with the sweetest lift to get to reception. Looked like it had been there since Victorian times.

First impressions of our room was not so great but it soon grew on me! We arrived mid afternoon and our dark curtains had been closed but once we opened them and the shutters behind, it was so spacious and light.... Perfectly clean and so was the bathroom! Breakfast I did not eat but the coffee and hot chocolate are... More

Stayed at City hotel with my husband and two sons for 3 nights in August 2014 as part of a 14 night visit to Italy and I could not wait to leave. There is no way that this hotel can be 3 star. Although the lifts are quirky and the location is absolutely perfect to see the Spanish Steps, Trevi... More

We stayed here as part of a pre booked holiday with a tour company. Although small we found the hotel perfectly located and the manager and most of the staff exceptionally obliging. Our request for laundry service was sorted very quickly by the very hardworking lady who dud breakfast service plus all room cleaning. The rooms were very quiet and... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
