We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights. While the hotel itself is not top luxury, we didn't mind due to the price and location. Bonus that there is a bus stop right infront of the hotel, and walking distance from everything! The staff was of average attitude, not what you expect as cheerfulness and deisre to fufil all your... Three friends and I booked this hotel about a month before our trip. We needed a place to stay for one night before our study abroad program began. I arrived at the hotel after the three girls had. I was very confused about it's location. There is a sign outside of the building above a random driveway. Aside from the... More

It was terrible staying. When we booked the room, they told us there would be air conditioner. However, there was nothing and then we talked to a guy there. He took us to another room with a fan and kept saying that was an air conditioner!!!! It was late at night, so we had to accept. The day after, we... More

Information about this hotel is misleading from web description. Ara Pacis is overpriced , filthy , smelly place . Peeling wallpaper everywhere, very tiny washroom, spoted mattress , Do I need to say more ? We ordered pick up from Fiumicino , driver was 40 min late with old no air conditioning Jaguar , we paid 55 euro . There... More

First impression was note great, but got better - I arrived late on Saturday night and they had limited rooms left. So, they changed me (from Room #3 to #11) on Sunday and it was a lot brighter and larger, with a much better & cleaner bathroom.I stayed a week, and it was fine for the price - on hindsight... More

My husband & I chose this hotel for our anniversary as from the description on the website it appeared perfect. When we arrived, the man on the desk was unhelpful, rude and did not care less whether we were there or not... The room was smelly, wallpaper hanging off the walls, no doors on the wardrobe, a large hole in... More

First, we moved to this hotel after our original hotel The Borromeo (see my review there) didn't have enough rooms for the weekend and we hadn't booked in advance. The Borromeo was much much better in every aspect but this place wasn't too bad either. Yes, the place is dingy, the walls are crumbling, but it's clean and doesn't smell.... More

Great location near all the attractions in Rome, we could walk to almost everything within about 20 minutes. Room was very small for four adults and was extremely noisy. Air conditioning would only work about half the night and then you had to have the windows open which meant no sleeping because of the noise! Staff was friendly and breakfast... More

This hotel is a disgrace. It was filthy, falling apart, peeling wallpaper, paint chips everywhere. Everything is worn, frayed and smells. It is an absolute fire hazard. To their credit they did try and move our rooms, but it was insult to injury. They ended up moving us to another hotel, at their expense, that was acceptable. They also charged... More

I stayed there with my husband and my little 18month old boy in February 09. We booked the accommodatoin on wotif and it was the worst choice ever. Not knowing how horrible the experience would be, it was the longest 5 nights of my life. First there was not even a microwave to heat up my son's milk, and they... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
