After staying in The Beehive in 2012 in one of their dorms, I returned with my family this year and stayed in The Clover self-catered apartments. The location can't be beat, as it it's a five-minute walk from Termini, which is easy to get to from Fiumicino Airport via the Leonardo Express train. Our apartment had 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms... Travelling in Italy with friends, the Beehive was an oasis of peace in the busy city of Rome. The welcome was charming, the room airy and comfortable with lovely handmade soap and a generous supply of fluffy towels. The availability of a community dining area with kettle, fridge and all the crockery and cutlery you could need made the whole... More

I stayed at The Beehive with my daughter and a friend. It was fantastic. Friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast cooked to order. Although it was so near to the termini it was quiet and very secure. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

We enjoyed our stay at the beehive. We stayed in one of the private rooms with a shared bathroom. It is a nice well maintained hostel and much cheaper than other options in rome. The location is alright your a bit away from the nice areas of the city and the neighborhood is just ok. You are near the main... More

We were recommended to the Beehive by friends staying there for 3 nights and found it to be excellent value. We had a room in the Sweets which had 2 single beds but the hotel put a good quality temporary bed in for our daughter as well. Firstly it is only 1 street away from where the airport bus drops... This was my second time at the Beehive. The location is perfect for me and this time for my wife and myself. Fly into Fiumicino Airport, catch the Leonardo Express from the airport lower level, arrive 30 minutes later at the Termini train station and after a 3 minute walk you are home. Quiet, clean and secure. We walked all... More

Great hotel. Clean with a nice vibe. All the people working here were super nice and helpful whenever we asked them questions about anything. I liked the emphasis on being good to the environment and eating yummy organic food. They provide a guide online for restaurants/gelaterias which we used quite often and their recommendations were spot-on. I know a lot... More

Dear crsgrl1223, thanks for your review and I'm very glad you and your husband enjoyed your stay in Rome and at The Beehive. Just so other potential guests know: between 11pm and 7am when our reception is closed, there's usually a staff member still on premises (just not at the front desk) in case there's an emergency, plus there's an... What a great place to stay in Rome! Might not have the most central location but easy access to Termini station made getting around a breeze. Directions on how to get to the Beehive we found on the website were easy to follow Stayed in a private double room in 'the Sweets'; everything was clean and secure. Staff were extremely... More

We stayed with our 2 year old son in one of their immaculate and very pretty spacious ‘Sweets’ with en-suite bathroom and full access to their very handy family-friendly communal kitchenette. Our son particularly enjoyed the sweets left on the pillows and sniffing the gorgeous handmade soap. Noise from a bustling Rome was pretty minimal inside and we all slept... More

I have been staying at the Beehive for years. I go to Italy every year now. It is my treat to myself and the Beehive is always my point of arrival and departure in Rome. It is extremely easy to find and very close to Rome termini - the main Train Station in Rome (just one block). I love the... More
