Nice atmosphere and friendly staff who were very accomadating and spent time showing us where to go on a map. Our twin classic was squeaky clean and we had a private sink and safe box. The bathrooms were also clean and towels are provided. Overall a very good value for money hostel and fabulous location by the station.

I LOVED this place. They're hostel rooms were incredibly clean, and the service was impeccable, especially given the price. Everything from the recommendation guide they sent to the location to the friendliness of the staff were spot on. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

LOVED this place. Close to the Termini and in an adorable neighborhood. There were plenty of places to eat on the same street. We actually stayed in their separate location, the Acacia, and it was perfect. The room was clean and spacious. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Me and my friend visited Rome for two days in our travels of Italy. I actually found this place via trip advisor. I had never previously stayed in a hostel, so initially I was a little nervous taking us there. However I had read such good reviews about Beehive on here. I was so impressed once we arrived and settled... More

Loved it, we walked all over rome from where we were staying. So it's not even far away from anything. Also it's so clean and well maintained. Also the prices are on par with Airbnb but it's much better maintained than most airbnb places.

Me (IT) and my friend Martin (UK) really enjoyed the Beehive. Totally reachable (walking) from train station and near the city center, restaurants and bars. Room and restrooms great too. We would definitely recommend the Beehive.

This is a great place to stay in Rome. We had a private room w private bath down the hall in the building around the corner from the Beehive entrance on Via Marghera. The room decor was minimalist and non- hotel-like, which is a great thing, and everything was very clean. Attention to security was evident and appreciated. Everyone was... More

Super close to the central Termini Station, the beehive is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable hostel, with friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast is not included but is available at a reasonable price at the basement cafe.Towels and lockers are included and the bed is very comfortable. Staff are fantastic and know everything you might need to know including bus... More

Two blocks from Termini, The Beehive is always our first choice when staying in Rome. It's affordable, secure and has a great little cafe in the basement so no need to go far for your morning coffee. They also host dinners in the cafe a few times a week. Their rooms range from private with bathroom to private with shared... More

We stayed at the beehive in a private double room for four nights. The hotel is two blocks from termini station but feels like its own private neighborhood. It is not seedy or feels unsafe, even at night. The hotel has a great outdoor terrace and only a few rooms in the main building making it feel like you're staying... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
