We felt we stumbled onto a real find. Excellent location, yet private, simple and incredibly inexpensive. You enter through a huge wooden door(no hotel name, only the address), cross a courtyard parking area, go up a mysterious elevator in the far corner, and find among the residents--a hotel. We loved its rooftop dining area where we were "serenaded" by the neighbor's radio--always opera--and sights of flowers everywhere, rooftops, and an excellent view of St. Peter's. Great price, quirky atmosphere.
