Just returned from our stay of 2 nights at Colors. When we arrived the two girls on reception were very polite and helpful. I had emailed the hotel a few weeks before telling them that it was a tiny honeymoon break for us before our honeymoon, and upon our arrival they had candles in the room, roses on the bed... More

The location can't be beat. 5 min walk from Vatican! Close to subway for everywhere else and many good restaurants nearby. Overall, quite decent for the price but not without it's faults. We went in the winter time and were freezing cold every evening. They don't (or can't?) turn the heat on until midnight. Our bed for two people was... More

The start of our stay here was so awful and I was so angry. I had pre-booked our hotel through a third party website where you had a put down a deposit for a reservation months before we arrived. I guess though my deposit was never taken out at the booking and the hotel tried to take it out a... More

I stayed at the Hotel Colors for one week. There's no elevator but I was offered assistance climbing the stairs to my room as I'd requested the highest floor. It's only a 5 minute walk to/from the SIT bus which takes you to Rome Fiumancino airport and they conveniently post a bus schedule for it. Then, you're 2 blocks away... More

Friendly staff that are always ready to help. Rooms clean and beautiful. Awesome location 10 min walk to the Vatican and a longer walk about a 20 minute walk to Colosseum but it is a beautiful walk and can be easily done. The staff are helpful with mapping the area and helping to organise trips. I would defiantly stay here... More

What a gem! Colors in Rome is situated just 5 minutes from Vatican and it's in the lovely residential, very quiet street Via Boezio. Big shopping street/area is nearby, also the metro station. Few minutes walk takes you to the St. Peter Square and Vatican. It's a hotel/hostel, so I recommend getting the room with your private bathroom. Breakfast was... More

Hello, Thank you for considering the hotel a gem :). It's so nice to hear that you have basically enjoyed all of it except of the lack of elevator. Please require a room in a lower floor should you return because we do have some. We would be very happy to have you back at Colors. Kind regards, Colors Hotel... More

We stayed here for a weekend and were very happy with this hotel, although there were one or 2 little technical problems (Tv remote didn't work and the loo dripped) but as it is very friendly and so central, we didn't care. The breakfast was good by Italian standards, with fruit, yoghurt, rolls and cornetti with jam, even cheese and... More

We were looking for a non touristy neighborhood yet centrally located near the Vatican. We were looking for reasonable rates, an attentive staff and clean rooms. Well we found it all and more in this little gem. We were a group of 3 couples that booked this place prior a cruise out of Civitavecchia. From the moment of arrival to... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
