This place had more of a hostel feel to it than a hotel. We were in room 9, which was stuck in the middle of the stairs and the breakfast / common room so it was constantly noisy, it was right by reception as well, people didn't keep the noise down and we saw no effort from the staff to... More

I have stayed in this hotel for 8 nights in may. The reasons for me to choose this hotel were its location close to metro, its colorful rooms and its terrace. It has no central location, but it is in 10-15 min. walking distance from the metro. The location is also nice considering being away from tourist crowds, but also... More

Unless you’re on a tight budget, you might want to spend another 20€ on a more comfortable place. To be fair, there are good things about Colors. The staff is excellent, and very helpful both over email and in person. The location is strategic, if you prefer to escape the noise and tourist scrum of Centro Storico: a 10 minute... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here last summer. Our room was clean and contemporary and the hotel itself is within easy access of The Vatican and just a short walk from the metro. A great base to explore Rome and excellent value for money.

The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was exceptional and cleaned everyday. We had new clean sheets every day! Very cheap for 4 nights. As I could see it the breakfast was very good. We buy some food from a shop that is 2 minutes away from the hotel, on via Terenzio (https://goo.gl/maps/lO0GZ) The wifi is free and... More

I recently visited rome to watch the Italy vs Ireland game. We arrived at the hotel on Friday night and left on Sunday morning. The staff were all very friendly and polite. The room was exceptional and clean. The only issue we really encountered was finding the location. The sign is only an A4 piece of paper so it took... More

This is a great little hotel for anyone looking for reasonable accommodation in Rome. It is about 5 minutes from The Vatican and easily accessible by Metro. The room we stayed in was spotless, it had a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The buffet continental breakfast was lovely, with fresh pastries, bread, fruit, cold meats and cheeses etc. The... Ciao Colors! :) We spent 6 nights in Rome earlier this month and we stayed in Colors. I was just over my spectations (and they were high). The staff was unbeleavable. Very nice and friendly. We received a very warm welcoming from reception. The rooms were immaculately clean. And the breakfast... The breakfast was amazing, homey. It was as though... More

Just returned from our stay of 2 nights at Colors. When we arrived the two girls on reception were very polite and helpful. I had emailed the hotel a few weeks before telling them that it was a tiny honeymoon break for us before our honeymoon, and upon our arrival they had candles in the room, roses on the bed... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
