The fridge in our room was not working and was not serviced despite us informing the front desk. Our aircon did not work properly for 2 nights. However, Franco, the front desk clerk, is helpful & always present us with a fast response whenever we have a situation. And the housekeeping is excellent! We love the fact that there is... More

Stayed in a small but nicely decorated quadruple room. Staff were very helpful. Only minor quibble was that unless you explicitly order espresso or cappuccino at breakfast you get horrid instant coffee. I need to figure out how to order a decent long black coffee - "Americano" and "Lungo" both resulted in instant!

Excellent hotel, providing very good basic services. We did not book the Monte Carlo to spend all of our time there, and yet it provided all the basic needs for a comfortable stay - clean rooms, helpful staff, internet terminal.

We went to Rome for the Six Nations Rugby match between Italy and England. Having stayed at this hotel before we decided to book again as it was not too far by cab from the stadium. The staff are incredibly charming and helpful and especially so this trip as I had my purse stolen on the bus and Franco wrote... More

I booked this hotel because I thought it be closer to some of the attractions and shopping. It was a good 20-30 minute walk, which is fine, but if you have difficulty walking, you will have to taxi it. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is an elevator if you need to use it. The room was quite small, as... More

I booked this hotel since many comments mentioned it was close to the Roma Termini. In fact, it is not far from the train station but not that close especially for someone like me who carried a big suitcase. The hotel is neighboring with embassies which makes the area pretty safe since there are many armed policemen patrolling around. My... More

Hotel Montecarlo is located at a very convinient location (5 minute walk from Stazione Termini). The hotel has nice and CLEAN rooms and the staff is very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is nice and good for Rome standards. We would easily go back.

Cheap and so not the best of suites but the location is good and it was very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Be warned that there are a lot of tourist traps in Rome, so consider yourself lucky just for not trying to con you.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. Hotel decor is traditional rather than modern but all freshly painted and in good order. The bedrooms are not big but perfectly adequate for a short stay with a very comfy bed. Bathroom was small but perfectly formed! Shower cubicle may be on the small side for a large gentleman but was... More
