This hotel has nice large and very quiet(!) rooms, with excellent bathrooms. The roof terrace is great and has a very nice view. Very nice to have access to well equiped fitness & sauna. Easy access to public transport to downtown Rome. Around the corner (Corso Trieste) is a very nice Trattoria Pizzeria "La Chiacchiera"; we can recommend that! After... more

Location is far away from the heart of Rome. You need a good bus ride of 15-20 minutes to get to Piazza Venezia and from there a good deal of walking. If you want to stay late in town you will either take the night bus N4 or be prepared for a cab ride of 10-15€. Not all taxi drivers... more

I had read the reviews on this hotel so thought I knew what I was getting and this turned out to be the case.. The hotel is a bit far out but after walking to the metro about 20 minutes away, it is only a 5 minute ride to Termini where you can pick up buses, trams and tour buses.... more

Value for money and walking distance to a subway. Location is in a residential neigbourhood, quiet and a few eateries nearby. Hotel services are fine but not overly helpful or friendly. No free internet access. more

The Mercure Corso Trieste is for me an ideal Rome hotel. The price fluctuates depending on demand but is usually very competitive. It is just outside the centre but only a few stops on a fast bus or 10-15€ by taxi. The hotel is very clean with a smart bar serving snacks and has a buffet breakfast room in the... more

The hotel is located on a very quiet and nice residential neibourhood and is great to relax after a day runing around Rome... It's not that far from the center of Rome, but the transport sistem of Rome isn't that good... more

When I booked this hotel, I read reviews saying that it was a bit far from the center. I need to clarify that it IS far from the center, and not just a bit. I admit, I should've checked the map before booking. My husband and I can walk long distances (and truth be said, the walk to the nearest... more

The hotel itself was very good, although high priced. The drawback was that it took about 25 minutes to get to city center because we had to walk 15 minutes to the metro, then take the metro a few stops to the center. Also, for the price charge, I expected a better breakfast. more

I had read all of the reviews I could find on the hotel before we traveled, so I had a little concern when we checked in. As soon as we got there the concern disappeared. The hotel is most pleasant, clean and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The staff was most helpful. Once you understand the bus and metro... more
