This was by far the best place we stayed in Italy. The staff is friendly, helpful, and -- more important -- always available on site. It's a block and a half from the train station (which has a terrific coffee shop upstairs, by the way) and about a mile down Via Cavour from the Colosseum and Forum.

When we arrived via train into Rome we were able to easily find the hotel within 2 minutes walk. We were greeted by Franco who was warm and welcoming and forthcoming with any advice we required about Rome. This was consistent throughout our three night stay, day and night. Franco, Bruno and Roger were just fantastic. The room was exactly... More

I stayed at Hotel Sweet Home with my Mum and Sister, we were visiting Rome to celebrate my Mum's 60th. Immediately upon arriving at the hotel we received a warm welcome and some great tips for getting around the city. Within 10 minutes of being in our room we were brought a bottle of bubbles for my Mum's birthday! I... More

I would highly recommend this wonderful, friendly Hotel for anyone wishing to visit Rome. It is well run by a lovely Father & Son and the rooms are very clean, spacious and welcoming. My Daughters and I appreciated the helpful local information from the staff which helped us get around Rome and see all the sights without missing anything. I... More

We spent 3 nights here with our two teenage grandsons. The location is great being very close to the termini. There is an economical street side restaurant just below for dinner which even had gluten free items for a grandson's need. The staff (Frank, his son, Bruno and Roger) went above and beyond in letting us use their phones for... More

We stayed at the Hotel Sweet Home for two nights July 22 and 23. The first thing I can say that is the place is really close to the train station and surrounded by nice restaurants with outdoor seating. If you take the metro even relatively late at night, the walk is so short and there are so many people... More

We were booked into an AirBnB triple room - my mother, small son and I and it was terrible and a long way out. We were desperate to get out of it and I looked around quite a few hotels in the Termini area and found 'Sweet Home' which had a spotless and quiet triple available. The proprietor was charming... The hotel ‘Sweet Home’ is at an ideal location, very close to the train station (Termini), Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Piazzas Reppublica & Navonna. It’s a small kind of a boutique hotel in a large building, next to Hotel California (that’s right!). There are plenty of eating places nearby and adjacent to the hotel. If you like Indian food,... My husband and I stayed here for one night when visiting Rome for day. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the Termini train station (a few blocks) since we were not renting a car and could walk with our luggage. Franco and Bruno (father and son) were extremely helpful in answering questions, giving advice on restaurants,... More

1st of all: the people themselves...the staff is excellent..!!..Franco, the owner, was the most down to earth person I've met..very social, nice to talk to...his son Bruno was also a real gem...had called him many times before to stay to confirm the booking...the thing is, I had tried to do the booking via a credit card, but due to Indian...
