Thank you, Bruno for your detailed orientation of the place upon our check-in and making our 4 days stay comfortable. It is great to know that you & Franco keep your hotel safe for travellers to stay. This especially crucial in a city where one may lose personal belongings to pick-pocketers on the street. It is a bonus that the... More

Stayed at Sweet Home for 3 nights at the fag end of our Europe trip. The hotel lived up to its name :), and the hotel staff starting from Bruno at the reception who helped us settle down were very helpful and friendly. The biggest advantage with the hotel is it's location - 2 blocks away from Termini with lots... More

The location is very near to roma termini, just two blocks away and about 5min walk. To enter the building we have to press the doorbell outside the building then take the elevator to the 1st floor. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by Bruno and he explained to us about rome and gave us a map. Then we... More

The location is really close to Termini station, and thats very convenient to comute to the airport. The staff was really nice and friendly. The room was clean. There are a lot of restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms could use some refurbishing.

Franco and Bruno, thank you so much for everything. Your hospitality and all the helps and hints you gave us made our trip to Rome unforgettable. Your recommendation about Restaurant Nuova Stella was like hitting the bull's eye. Warm regards from Germany, Dirk, Petra and Tim.

This modest hotel suited for a budget is owned and operated by a family. Warm, gracious hosts who are highly helpful, pleasant, and offer excellent service. My room was small but perfectly adequate, even cozy. You can't expect a large room if staying in this district and paying much more. Two blocks from the central train station and from the... More

My family and I stayed at this hotel for six nights. The location, two blocks from the train station is wonderful. The hotel is located near many great restaurants. Bruno, Franko and Roger were WONDERFUL. Bruno was very helpful with logistics prior to our arrival and while we were there. They all were so very nice to all of us... More

Stayed here for two nights March 10 and 22nd 2015. They are on the first floor and there is a lift in the building. 5 minute walk from Roma Termini, trams etc. Room was small, well furnished and had opening windows which we consider a plus when travelling. It was basically good value for the price. We appreciated being given... More

From the hotel property (room, bathroom, reception) to the location (a block and a half away from Termini Station and Metro) to the STAFF (Franco, and others) - Sweet Home Hotel is EXCELLENT and worth the value you pay. We only stayed here for 2 nights - on our way to the Port of Rome to pick-up a cruise -... More

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. It is located quite close to Roma Termini. The hotel reception and rooms are on the first floor of a shop house and accessible by a small lift. It shares main entrance with another hotels. To enter we have to use an intercom for the reception to unlock the door, which is... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
