Bruno and his father are very kind people. They do everything to give you the best stay. The hotel has the perfect place, you can reach all the interesting spots just in a few minutes. i was wondering about the noise around the hotel, but i have to say in the room its very quiet. 100% recommendation!

This isn't the Ritz. Convenient location very close to train station. Here in winter and the off season price was a steal. Hard mattress (husband loved, I didn't), basic breakfast, very friendly staff. Very strong, perfume/powdery smell throughout the hotel. I am very sensitive to smells like this, and it gave me a headache. My husband was simply annoyed by... More

This hotel has a great location only 5 min walk from main termini station. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only reason I'm not rating it a 5 is because there was a bad musty water smell coming from th4 bathroom.

We recently stayed at the hotel. We had a family room. The room was large, efficient, very clean, regular service, great location for walking, trains or buses to sites. The owner Franco and his son Bruno were excellent to work with, prior to arriving the arranged for us being picked up at the airport. The driver for no additional charge... More

This hotel, Home sweet Home, was a perfect choice for our first stop in country. It is very close to the train station, many restaurants and a few different corner shops that are open early for espresso and a pastry. The rooms was spacious enough for 2, comfortable bed, small corner shower(almost too small, but the standard for Italy we... More

Stayed 3 nights with friends. Our room was clean and warm (we were there in November), but quite small for 5 people. But hey - if you go to Rome you won't stay in your room more than just for sleeping, so it was ok. Super kindly and helpful staff. Value for a cheap price, but do not wait any... More

This is a compact, overpriced hotel in a good location and was handy for our one night stay at Rome. I wouldn’t have enjoyed staying there for more than 2-3 days. The reception area was rather cramped and cluttered. Our triple room was small and well furnished. The floor featured original tiles and the room was tastefully decorated. The location was very handy for... The hotel was rundown. Very rundown. However the location was really good with many restaurants just downstairs. The jotwls comes with all basic needa. Value for money. Dun quite like the system where you have to return and collect the key from recept that is 1 floor above ground. We live 2 floors above ground. So have to go to... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
