Me and my partner stayed at the Church Palace (formally known as the Domus Mariae Palazzo) for 4 nights on a Rome city break and are considering coming back soon. We had a great experience here. The hotel itself is situated off the main road and just outside the city centre. We found this to be an advantage to the... More

Although we have been told that the renovation work would be finished by June 30th, when we left the hotel at July 6th the work was ongoing and not about to be finished. But ı have to say that we had no noise problem, but because of the work hotel restaurant was closed and workers were doing stg all around... More

We stayed for a week in the Hotel Domus Mariae Palazzo which is now called The Church Palace in Rome and we had a wonderful time. It was 4 metro stops from central Rome being in Carpegna. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were excellent and very helpful. The decor is of a very high standard and photographs we... More

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel between 18-22 of june, 2014. Its location is very convenient for walking arround Rome. We thought will be the same for relax and quietness but we were wrong; a dropping and bubbling noise of water from air conditioner system (or sewer system) was hearing continously. When we entered the room we found a... More

We booked The Church Place on a recommendation from a friend who has stayed many times because it is reasonably priced compared to a lot of other accommodation in Rome. The Hotel is a lovely "old style" building (I think it might have formerly been a convent?) and is set in a large park like garden area which provides a... More

Stayed in this hotel for out third anniversary as couldn't go further afield. Firstly, the room we were given was tiny, does not warrant a 4 star status. Secondly the domestics did not come around for two days. The reception staff were unhelpful and the bar staff were rude. We paid to stay in the hotel however were not allowed... More

My wife and I stayed here over a romantic city break. The place has recently changed its name to The Churce Palace, dont be alarmed. It was being renovated, and they estimated completion in september 2014. This did not disturb us at all! The only problem we found was that there was no restaurant open in the evening for dinner... Firstly, this is by no means a 4 star hotel. The room my girlfriend and I have been given (ground floor) is about the size of a large wardrobe and the ensuite is even smaller - so much so that it has a sliding door however this is very difficult to lock and harder to unlock when in the ensuite....
