More

I was equipt because I had read a lot of bad reviews!! As per other reviews - my tv didn't work and neither did the wifi in any other location other than the waiting area. Because of reviews I had read I purchased a 'data add on' before I left and I downloaded a few shows onto my tablet. I... More

I booked this room using points so the value was great! At first I was unimpressed with the location because it was literally across the street from the Termini train station but as it turned out it was very convenient. The room was clean and the beds uncomfortable but it was only for 5 nights, good news it wasn't $250... More

Our group was booked in for two nights here. The standard of the rooms was very basic. The water temperature seemed to be set at 40 degrees. (Have these people not heard of Legionnaire's Disease?) The water was switched off around 11pm and was not again available until 6am. The shower doors did not stay shut. And in what is... More

Not a bad hotel for a shot stay, we got room with inside view and it was just horrible, but what to expect if you are in the centre of Rome. Just always surprising when Italians come to other countries and complain about the view from the room when they stay in city centre hotels :-) Room was spacious and... More

We were on a family trip to Rome on a weekend (16th to 18th May 2015) and had booked two rooms in this hotel a month ago but on reaching the hotel the front desk manager (Mr. Charlie) told us that they are overbooked and they don't have any room for us. He pushed me to see their other two... More

It was hot in Rome but the air-con did not work. The safe did not work. The room was small and dark. The hotel is old and dated. Wifi was very very slooooow! I did not open the window initially but in the middle of the night I had to open it as I could not breath! The room was... More

The Hotel Madison is classified as a 3*** and is right on Via Marsala, less than a minute walk on the right of Roma Termini station; I stayed one night for a business meeting the following day and I have to admit that either I spent a horrible night in a small room so hot I could have been in... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
