The location? Second to none. Right next to the train station. Like, across the street. Breakfast is included, albeit flavorless and not particularly good. Water pressure is great... however, water is like a mean girl and will run hot and then ice cold within seconds. Tolerable in the summer but would be greatly unappreciated in the winter. Some people have... More

Although there are many bad reviews, we did not come across any issues apart from one. Other than that our stay of 2 nights was pleasant. We requested for a room at the 6th floor as someone on Trip advisor recommended it to avoid noise issues. The room was big enough, there was a TV, wardrobe and dressing table. The... More

Apart from its central location - just across the road from Rome's central railway station, shops, cafe's and closeness to the Hop on Hop off circular-tour bus stand, there are few good comments I could offer new guests. The homeless sleeping across the road in shop doorways suggests that this is not a safe area, particularly at night - I... More

This place should never be called a hotel!. The reception is the only part of this so called hotel that look's anyway decent. The room i had which was supposed to be a single was nothing more than a padded cell. The wall's have a dark green padding on and the door's are dark wood. The AC was almost useless.... More

I stayed at Hotel Madison last week for five nights on a tour with Harry Shaw Coach Holidays, I read the reports on this hotel but the holiday company did not disclose the name of the hotel until a week before we arrived, so it was then too late to cancel it. I can agree with a lot of the... More

Hotel madison is in a great location but if you shower you will probably flood the bathroom floor and not only that the WiFi is so bad I had to switch hotels so I could finally write this review! The breakfast is not only disgusting but I don't even think the bread was bread and everything else was just terrible... More

I paid 75 Euros for 1 night in this hotel as I needed to be close to the station. I was not expecting safety but was expecting a basic clear room. Madison hotel does not have that. The first room I was given was on the 5th floor and I had to walk through a maze for 10 min to... More

The hotel served it's purpose. It is definitely right outside of Termini station when you exit to the right from leaving the train platform. The area outside looks a little shady but there are great places to eat within walking distance and there's a taxi stand right by the station outside of the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly... More

Stayed at and currently staying at Hotel Madison, The facilities are what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. Location wise, it is very ideal for those who are looking for a cheap stay to explore the Eternal City. Unfortunately what turned out to be a fantastic historical and sight seeing trip was spoiled by an insecure internet connection,... More

Claustrophobic. May be suitable to pass a night or two...& definitely not for long stay specially with family. No Wifi or Poor Wifi connection. Blankets looked really worn out and possibly dirty (didn't use). Could trust the water quality and therefore bought own potable water. Age old elevator could only be seen in Museum but still being used.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
