The room was extremely small..just room for the bed, but the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was ordinary. The staff were efficient but not very friendly. The view from our window was an alley and direct insight to another room. We enjoyed our stay however!. It all felt like a genuine Italien experience. I would not hesitate to book here... More

Do not expect a high standard accomodation however for the price you pay the location is excellent as its a 2 minute walk to the Termini station from hwere you can access all points of interest in Rome. The rooms are old ok but you only use the room to shower and sleep. The breakfast is a buffet with a... More

our experience at this hotel was bad. all the staff working at the hotel are very unprofessional, when we first arrived they claimed that we have problems in our credit card which was not the case. the water in the room was so bad either tooo hot or too cold suddenly we couldnt take a shower. we claimed abt that... Read bad reviews before we arrived so I was nervous, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is so, so central I can't stress it enough. We walked to almost every attraction (colossuem, pantheon, Roman forum, all the fountains on this side of the banks) in 30mins (except the Vatican which was a 20 min bus ride because we were tired... Was there October 15-18, 2014. Cash only. They have some bank problems and forced me to pay twice for my room - with card and cash. Still waiting for my money back. Rude stuff has spoke with me as I am a thief or planed that situation. My room was tiny and different from the pictures provided by booking.com, the... More

The hotel was in the perfect spot for our school group right near the station which meant it was easy to get around and home again. The rooms were clean with safes and pleased pretty much all of us. Beds were fairly comfortable and breakfast was pretty good

Rooms are ok. Small and crowded, very small shower. More 2 star than 3 star but maybe it's the lift that gives it the extra star. However, service is non-existent. We travelled as a large group of 36 people and rang ahead to try to organise room configurations only to be told they didn't have time to talk to us... More

I booked my room on booking.com and when we arrived there was no room available. I was a bit nervous with all our suitcases in hand and a child the thought of being turned away was disconcerting. They gave us a room at a sister hotel about 4 blocks away. We had to walk and drag our suitcases there. I... More

The best about this hotel is the location - just opposite Termini station. Super convenient for a 2-3 days stop and then to hop on a train to another place. I changed 2 rooms during my stay and they were totaly different. The first was facing the busy street next to the station and the noise was terrible. The 2nd... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is across the street from the Termini Station which is very convenient but that is it. The A/C didn't work, the bar fridge didn't work, the shower was missing a door panel so you couldn't close it, the water went from scalding hot to freezing for no reason and... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
