This medium sized hotel is ideally situated within a short walking distance east of Termini, and near the Castro Pretorio metro station which perfect to get around Rome. This area abounds with small hotels, and Galles actually engulfs the Hotel Christina in a connected building nearby, above which our small but clean and modern rooms were located. This actually proved... More

I stayed at this hotel during a family vacation in Rome. It was a mixed experience, but largely negative. The positives - good convenient location within walking distance of Rome Termini station. Whatever limited interaction we had with the staff (mainly reception staff) was pleasant. The negatives - the condition of the hotel. The general interiors, decor, carpets etc. is... More

Small room, surprisingly large bathroom in comparison, clean. We had a room facing the main road, which was noisy, but the windows did a good job at noise isolation - after all, this is Rome, a big city with lots of traffic. The breakfast was averige, and there are many trattorias close by for an evening meal. The big plus... More

3 star? not in my opinion. Stayed for 2 nights for a recent 6 nations rugby match. Tiny single room at rear of hotel with basic facilities although didnt suffer the noise of traffic as friends did at the front of hotel. No bar , no restaurant. As stated by previous reviewer awful noise from the plumbing of adjacent rooms.... More

Worst hotel ever. Overnight noise in the room coming from the pipes, no wifi, dark and scary corridors, poor and bad quality breakfast, bad location (no metro stops around), and besides... very expensive! Any other hostel or b&b I've been before was better than this Galles hotel.

It is a quiet and comfortable hotel near Termini. There is a metro station near that hotel, but if you want to go to the main tourist attractions (for example, the Colosseum ) by walking it will take time. The room was clean.

I'm not picky about my hotels, but lately I've been trying to me more straightforward about the good and the bad. This hotel is conveniently located in walking distance of the train station. The staff was pleasant. The whole place has a very European feel - narrow halls, small rooms, creaky stairs. Some of the things about the room were... More

On our arrival in Rome we were transferred from another hotel to the Galles. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, the room we were given was dark, unloved and smelt musty, it had no tea/coffee facilities, or compendium to help with info for first time travellers like us to Rome. Breakfast was held in the basement, we found it... More

The staff at the Galles Hotel are amazing, very helpful. just down the street from Termini station and all the tour companies. lots of good restaurants all around the block of the hotel. the hotel room was very clean, no bugs! our room was a two story suite, and the large windows opened to a charming court yard. the hotel... I was pleasantly surprised after some of the previous posts. Ok it's not the Ritz, but our room was clean and roomy. Breakfast is disappointing if you're a Brit, but there was cereal and pastries alongside the traditional cold meats and cheese. The coffee was a tad strange and I would recommend you ask the waitress for a latte or... More
